Can we surpass last season?

I’m very confident on the PL being retained. I think the Dippers will be the biggest threat, it’s going to require a big jump in their consistency to threaten us over 38 games.

Would really like the FA cup, that Wigan game was a sore one to take.

League Cup is a risk because of the ‘weaker’ teams being fielded, we did brilliantly last year but might be a stretch to do it again.

Think the CL is more wide open this year, Real’s ‘invincibility’ will be undermined, we have a great chance to push on.

Realistically, the PL, a domestic cup and a stronger challenge in the CL is on the cards.

No reason that this can’t be a spectacular season given the squad we have. Can’t wait for it to unfold!

Last season I honestly thought it’s never gonna get any better than this.
So no, but it’s sure gonna be fun watching us try.
Though with Pep who knows..

The priority for the club is to win the PL again and create a domestic dynasty, and contopinuous improvement in the European stage, where we have to be in the Top 8 regularly at a minimum, Top 4 as often as possible, and winning it in the next few years.

For this year, I want us to continue to play scintillating football, bring through a few of the youngsters, and win the PL again. Any defeats will always sting, because we have come to expect City to find a way to win and definitely not lose, but as long as they are not against United and Liverpool, I honestly don’t care anymore!

In short, surpassing is multi-dimensional, because of the competitions we will be in, so PL and beating Liverpool at Anfield would be a good start on “surpass” for me! Never used to be too arsed about that lot, but after the complete and utter disrespect shown towards our club by fans and club alike, I hope they get stuffed and Klanfield burns to the ground due to a red flare in the Kop!!

We win the league this year and it puts to bed the only argument people have about this being a great side and not being able to win it back to back. We do that and it doesn’t necessarily surpass last season but it certainly elevates us to another level.

Domestic treble, it’s never been done.

One “trophy” is in the bag. It’s called a super cup in other countries and people can say what they want but it is a trophy.

4 more competitions to try to win. The motivation was clear last season reaching 100 pts even though there was nothing to play for.

This season has the possibility to be even more special. The lads have a chance to become the best team in England history without debate.
