Car driving standards

Every year we catch them parking on our land, an industrial unit on an industrial estate with huge metal gates....this morning a Freelander parked up, I thought it was a customer but he walked right past our open roller shutter doors and I had just been in for an hour and was locking up, so I did....only to discover his wife in the passenger seat.
Can you move it please love, I'm locking up...
My husband's got the keys
Well can you get him I'm locking now and it's urgent ( it wasn't but the look of fear on her face was a picture )
He's only gone to get a paper
Oh that's alright then, I'm still locking up.
He wont be long.

I shouted down the road to the guy that I was locking up and his wife's in the car

He soon shifted it.

The thing is, we have the summer season on us soon and the amount of tourists we snare is unbelievable. The couincil car park is 100yds aweay but they try it on. I usually wait an hour before I go back and open up, we only live 2 mins away but it's worth it, I'm a twat....

The only time I've not locked anyone in is if they've got a dog in the car but kids get the same treatment usually with a quiet.." your dads a prick "

Technically not however there is a certain driving ettiquette and a basic standard of common sense to factor in. You just dont do 45 in the middle lane for eg. even though legally you can.
I've just checked and the rac say you can undertake when there is an average speed limit in place and signs say 'stay in lane'
Good driving practice is to spot the lane-hogger well before you catch them up and move into the right side lane before getting up their arse.

No it isn't. How can they be in the 'wrong' lane?
OMG. The person couldn’t undertake you unless the lane he was using was clear could he? And if the lane he’s using to undertake you is clear it means you should be using it!!!! Fuck me. People like you who don’t understand how to drive are the ones fucking it up for the rest of us!

I love it when the impatient come up too close behind me. I slow down and watch the steam coming out of their ears. I go even slower if they start with the lights
Unbelievable . Just use the inside lane. Then you’re not getting in anyone’s way. What’s the issue with using the inside lane?? Bananas.

Good driving practice states the middle lane clown should be in the inside lane.

I've just came back from France. It was a dream to drive over there. Quiet roads and no knobs behind you constantly wanting to get past. Here it's chaos at the moment, can guarantee there's a crash every morning somewhere along the route to work.
I love driving in France. Get on one of their rural motorways and yer might spot a car 400yds in front of yer and nothing behind. Mind, Rouen can be a pain in the derrière, let alone Paris.

I try not to be critical of other road users simply because I don't class myself as anything other than a distinctly average driver but it does seem that there are far more selfish/aggressive drivers on the roads these days. Whatever enjoyment there used to be in driving has long since gone and I tend to avoid it whenever possible. Whenever I'm out walking the dog one thing that is particularly noticeable is the number of drivers looking downwards rather than at the road. If you need to use your phone whilst you're driving it's not difficult to get hands free these days.

I think you’re actually supposed to move to lane 3 to overtake them then move back to lane 1. Middle lane hoggers are the absolute worst. I burn their retinas out with a bit of full beam until they move.

it really is a grey area. I have been told by an advance driving instructor that is fine to stay in the inside lane. The reason is I havent changed from the middle to the inside to intake. So not over taking. My lane is just going quicker than the other lane.

Yet I have seen one of those motor way cop programs where someone stayed in the inside lane and went pass the copper. The copper pulled him over and bollocked him. Personally I think it was the copper who was wrong for not moving to the inside lane. The copper was hogging the middle lane.

No one should be in the middle lane unless they’re overtaking something in the inside lane.

I'm currently sat in Sheffield childrens hospital intensive care unit with my daughter who was hit last night.

I'm absolutely heartbroken as to that I seen when I got to the site....bodies everywhere and my daughter unconscious face down being helped by locals.

All the people were making there way back into the village after the fair had shut and then hit.

Can't get that image out of my head it's killing me.
Best wishes to you all mate.

I hope she and the others recover well. Bastid drunk drivers. My 9 and 11 year old cousins were killed, and my aunt crippled for life being hit by one on a zebra crossing many years ago.

Actually, maybe here is a place to ask advice. On my daily dog walk, I often pass a bloke in his 20's, sat chilling on a bench, headphones on and always with a spliff in his hand. He appears to have several over a period of time.
No problem with that whatsoever .... apart from he then gets in his car and drives off.
I don't like the idea of grassing, but then drug driving is no different to drink driving, and I am sure if any of us saw someone necking from a vodka bottle, we wouldn't hesitate.... I mean what if he goes on to do something like the twunt who killed my cousins did?
Grass him up....no pun intended.

Under/overtaking coppers is not a good idea in most situations.

We live on a very cramped and overpopulated island, where everybody either has or wants a car. Our inept public transport system outside of London does not help this; I've seen better infrastructures in many third world countries.

Add to the above, our entitled population have convenience and pleasures at the click of a button. People over here live soft lives and wake up too late due to laziness and/or drinking too much the night before. This in turn leads to it being everyone else's fault that they are running late, when the simple answer is to get up earlier.

There's one road near us that is lined by shitty estates either side of it. Parked cars galore both sides of the road and it's a totally lawless road, like a real life game of chicken whenever you drive down there, nobody gives way when the obstruction is on their side. I turn the car 45 degrees and drive towards them with the full beams on, usually does the trick, as long as you turn the car back inside before impact. Chav cunts only understand one thing and it's violence, thankfully I'm a more violent **** than them but have manners and etiquette.
