CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

And the narrative will turn to
"Denying freedom of speech"
The same media will spin it a hundred ways to make our owners seem to be the aggressors.
The owners aim is to build a mega business empire, not win a little battle against the media.
I am surprised that more bluemooners do not understand this.
Not interested in narratives, the truth is all that is relevant, if we tell the truth end of story.

You don't have to do it through the courts, just stand up for yourself at press conferences, in the media, ex players etc.

It comes from the top, Garry Cook when CEO fought our case all the time, our media departement had brilliant campaigns laughing at our opponents.

Thats was all done under the Sheik , so why the change? Is it the Barca boys and a different culture, or has the owner/ Chairman asked for a change in attitude and if so why?
So true. For all his blunders Garry Cook was brilliant at fighting our corner. We need to be much stronger with the media. You can take a lot of action short of going to the courts. Legal action should be used sparingly and only against the big guns of the media for maximum impact. City are seen as a soft touch.

Issues management should be top of the agenda for the PR dept. Not rocket science, just monitor and send a letter. Be persistent, insistent and consistent. If we don't state our case, nobody else will.
City is a classic case calling out for this, that is false and negative media narrative. Khaldoon said the attempt to harm our rep was clear, so why doesn't he do something about it?

Can't agree. Where there is a persistent false narrative, it harms the building of that empire. This is bog standard PR. See, for example, oil companies persistent story that they are putting money and effort into going green. Why do you think they are pushing this line consistently?. It is to change the existing rep and gain a new one. CFG have a PR battle in USA, for example. Khaldoon himself wrote that the rep of UAE and the belief that CFG are an arm of that gov has held them back.

The "fact" that the CFG do not correct every falsification would tend to mute your point.
If you believe like i do that the media owners want to discredit the club whenever possible, attacking every small mistruth would hardly be reported and would only gain more negative spin where it was.
The club will issue corrective statements whenever the reputation of the owner is questioned. But as we have seen with the CAS decision, the truth exonerating the club will still be reported negatively.
Some people want an all out war on the media, as they did with Eufa, it will not happen.
