Just recieved this from the club
Dear all,
We recognise that this is, and will continue to be, an uncertain time for everyone in our community, especially our directly engaged match day casual workers who are unable to work at the club during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following the announcement from football’s governing bodies suspending the professional game, we have been working to address a range of matters across the club with the welfare of our staff at the forefront of our minds.
Although we would have liked to provide an update to you sooner, we also felt that it was important to thoroughly explore this issue in detail.
As of today, we can confirm that directly engaged match day casual workers will be paid in full for the fixtures they were scheduled to work, Arsenal, Burnley or both. Alongside this, match day casual workers will also receive a payment, based on pro-rata earnings over the last three months, applied across this season’s remaining five home fixtures. The payment will be made to all directly engaged matchday casual workers who have worked for the club in the past three months.
Please note that you will receive two separate payments for the above, one in April to include the Arsenal and Burnley fixtures, and one in May to include Real Madrid, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Bournemouth and Norwich City.
From an outsider looking in it looks like City have met their responsibilities and followed what other clubs have promised, which is great news and hats off to them. Would you agree or is there something were missing?
