Casual staff at City - club confirm they will be paid

Some of us had faith to know the club would do the right thing... but as usual theirs a minority of so called supporters itching to slag the club off. At least this is sorted and I’m pleased for the individuals involved.
I wasn’t itching to slag them off. It directly affected my wife and therefore our family income so was pretty important to us. My wife has been worrying for 2 weeks and City not responding to her and delaying only made that worse. Very happy they’ve done the right thing

As usual Frank,as usual !!

I think anybody in the same situation would feel the same about the lack of communication and most would agree and sympathise. In fact if we were discussing say Tescos nobody would be jumping to their defence.

But for some when its comes to their football club they revert to 12 year olds and cannot accept a bad word being said about it. Its very cute but also a bit embarrassing.

There may have been problems with City’s email system over the last week or two. I’ve only just received the confirmation for 6 Southampton tickets that I paid for a fortnight ago. I am hoping to get them cancelled and refunded.

I got an email yesterday about Pep loving his Nissan Leaf and the website/twitter site seems to be getting updated daily.

Most important thing it has all been resolved for those affected.

Perhaps rather than criticise the club people could understand that we are in unprecedented times. Maybe the club were seeing what the government were doing and maybe key staff were trying to understand the full implications of the situation and by not being at the club this decision has taken a bit longer than ideal. As an example self employed people in this country dont yet know how they are going to be paid and the government have had weeks to sort that out. Sometimes you just have to wait and see and clearly if the powers that be dont do the right thing then we should all criticise but why not allow them the benefit of the doubt in these difficult times

As always the club were going to do the right thing, as they stated in their statement they wanted to ensure they had everything correct, whilst club/casual employees were concerned at this most trying of times, there was never any doubt the situation would be resolved and people would be paid as our current owners have consistently proven in their actions they do their best for City and the surrounding community.

Instead of thinking how to kick the club with continued nonsense posts in this thread, how about going onto the media and or UEFA/CAS thread and state how we are all imagining any agenda/bias against City, and all the thousands of articles attempting to rip our club apart are just coincidence, and are just City fans being paranoid, these are the type of posts you used to do, but even for someone like you, you know that makes you look even more pathetic then you do almost every time you post.

It must of been fun whilst the payment situation was being resolved by City for you, and even though that situation is now resolved you continue to post your nonsense and very thinly veiled digs, now you can await your next opportunity.

Surely by now nearly every poster on this site must realise you have zero worth to say regarding City, you are nothing but a Troll/WUM.

I will try once again. The only criticism really was for the lack of communication which most people experiencing a similar situation would feel aggrieved with and those told of it would empathise with.

Like I say I am pleased it has all been resolved, which I praised the club for, for those blues who have posted and been affected by it.

As for fun for me, not really. I like to see my club do the right thing because I take a sense of pride in my club and I also feel for anyone feeling anxious about pay during very uncertain times.

Today has been a good news day and the club should be rightly applauded for its actions.
