Casual staff at City - club confirm they will be paid

I think I am correct in saying all full time MCFC employes are on the living wage at least, not heard the press shouting about that.

They were one of the first to implement the living wage, I am sure they will as always be in the background doing their utmost to ensure all City staff regular and irregular will receive their payments accordingly.

As already stated by @oakiecokie our club always do and have done since day one the best for Manchester City and it’s associated community.

Someone earlier in the thread pointed out that united have not raised season tickets prices for nine years, this is the one and only thing I can think of which they have done which we have not, but we shouldn’t forget the vast amounts the owners have spent on the infrastructure and playing staff in the last ten years and the hundreds of millions in our local community, anyone who knew Beswick and surrounding areas before will know and see the immense difference our owners have made to our City.

We as a club are not infallible but as far as I can see we do our utmost to be at the very top not only as a club but as being community responsible in nearly all we do, there is IMO very little that could be highlighted as a negative.

Posting the drivel from that vile utter arsèwipe of a newspaper deserves nothin but utter contempt.

On a side note it would be nice if the elite players in the premier league made some kind of donation from the mega wages they receive and passed it down the line to the lower leagues . Quite sure that someone on half a million a month wouldn’t miss a couple of months wages .

The PL already has plenty in its coffers as does the PFA.Let Gordon Taylor and the likes cough up (not the best of wordings under the circumstances is it).

Are they agency or zero hours contract?
That’s where the problems begin.
I don’t know why the clubs can’t just employ folk on part-time hours so they have the benefits of employment .
Im employed part time by port vale in the academy and have been told we will not be paid.

It will be interesting to see if they continue down that road when bailout monies are paid by the FA to clubs and the PL possibly pump cash into the game to keep clubs afloat?

My understanding is that's correct, plus many indirect staff are, as City have insisted it's in their contracts. Last time we spoke about this at City Matters, there were a handful of suppliers that needed to come into line and then we'd be fully complient and an officially accredited Living Wage payer.

This. Gordon Taylor gets paid millions a year, maybe he does his job as head of the PLAYERS association and looks after all players outside the top two leagues.
