Would be buzzing if we signed him, as long as neither Dzeko/Aguero were sold to fund it. Hopefully Mario, but wouldn't mind Tevez parting ways if we got a good deal.

Another tenuous transfer link that will get hopes up and let some people down... I'll wear a full United kit and sing Glory Glory Man United on live webcam for Bluemoon if we sign Cavani this month.

I will walk in the fast lane of the M60 if any team signs Cavani this month.

@geoffarsenal isn't giving names away on twitter but he's claiming whoever it is he's already agreed terms.

It is twitter, bullshit central. He will not leave Napoli this season.

Regarding the Twitter nonsense I hope I can shed some light.

That Pete Smith BBC who made the comment, people follow him and he immediately sends a message asking each person to sign some petition for him (regarding first bus).

It appears highly likely he's made up a bullshit story in a pathetic effort to gain some followers so that his petition can receive more signatures.

It's all bullshit. If there was any news of substance we would quickly be able to tell.

I think after all the recent Balotelli loving coming out of Napoli, it is only them I can see buying him.

I can see money plus Balotelli deal for Cavani but not this month, Napoli are close to securing another Champions League campaign next year and maybe, just maybe a title challenge to Juventus.

The deal is difficult but Arsene Wenger will try it anyway. In the wish list for next season Arsenal, the French manager has entered - cerchiandolo red - the name of Edinson Cavani of Napoli. "I like Matador - Wenger has confirmed - and I know it costs a lot of money. Yet for the right player we are willing to spend a considerable sum." Among the Gunners also observed Wilfried Zaha.

Sixty-three million euro. This is what could cost the London club the tag that Edinson Cavani to that figure, by contract, can be released. Many, but not too much for Wenger when asked about the issue said: "No one denies that it takes an effort important economic Cavani, but we have the right resources to the right players. Cavani It is a striker who I like." An alarm bell that rings in Castel Volturno, but certainly not for January. In June, but the president De Laurentiis is already prepared, rain down offers for the Matador. Arsenal will be in the front row, as it is for Wilfried Zaha, Crystal Palace English talent coveted by half Premier League: "It 'a player that we follow - Wenger has confirmed - but we have not yet made an offer."

even if arsenal go for him, which i doubt, there is a good chance they won't be able to offer him champions league football next season.
