Cavani Speculation/News 3 (or 4)

I agree, it's very likely that we have already moved on. Cavani has set his sight on Real Madrid. I bet Napoli is now focused on negotiating with them.

Keep tabs on Shaw, that's their target for LB replacement for Cole. Harsh on Bertrand really.

They've been on Shaw's case for the past 10 months now and were very close indeed in signing him in Jan.

With him now signing a 5 year contract with Southampton in July it'll certainly cost them for his services
Indeed Dan, he's been on radar for a while and isn't coming off it. Next summer they will get their man I'm told.

On a seperate one have you heard anything on our targets. It seems Italian journos are struggling since Mancini +backroom staff departed ;)

this c*"t and his c*"t of an agent are just using our buying power to manipulate an even bigger money move to real.

i dont want to see this cock playing for us, if we do get him its because real didnt want him!!

i'd rather get someone younger who wants to be here, with future potential. rather than this guy.
What a load of tosh.

Fact of matter is Cavani speaks Spanish and Italian, he has no grasp of English. Madrid offer him a comfort of language and an environment his family could easily adapt too. It's the biggest club on the planet. I have no problem with him exploring this option.

What you and others must understand is this guys his own boss, he doesn't have to bow to anybody and owes nobody nothing. He should do what's right for himself, his family and his career.

Be careful, you'll sound like an Arsenal fan if you're not careful ;)

Liverpool have already sounded a replacement out from Shaktar and have signed Aspas. They're prepared to lose Suarez and imho they are happy too due to commercial interests (standard charter), they will ask Suarez to play on the media stuff so fans don't backlash for selling. Meanwhile Suarez to Madrid is all but signed. Should thia go through we have no problems.

This is Real Madrid you're talking about. It's a dream club for a lot of players, and we can't compete with that yet. Cavani himself was quoted as saying he'd be happy to play for any of the three clubs vying for his services, so what if he has a leaning towards Madrid, from a cultural standpoint It also makes sense for him to go there. I trust the powers that be will know exactly where we stand and will move on if they feel the time is right.

Thank you for being the voice of reason - will stop flapping for an hour. Can you keep posting common sense to keep my blood pressure down over the weekend?

Exactly. If Napoli's not gonna budge, we might as well move on. Lest this becomes another Sanchez/Hazard/RVP saga.

what point am i incorrect in then.

1. he wants to go to madrid
2. we are being talked about as an option (even by his mother!! ffs)
3. if madrid dont go for him then he comes to us (or chavs)
4. therefore we are being used to force through a move to madrid, and if that doesnt happen then he comes to us, with the inconvenience of not wanting to be with us.
5. thats not tosh!

It's of no purpose my friend. Time and again people are given snippets and calming information yet they dwell on an Italian troll and an obviously briefed Di Marzio.

Chelsea signing Cavani would devastate their spending pot (unlike last summer they don't have a 50m war chest from Uefa) and are trying to offload a player as part of deal. Be it Ba or Torres. Cavani also wants ridiculous wages and at Chelsea a few players have contracts where they get parity with top earners. Paying Cavani 250k instantly lifts for example Terrys wages by 70k and they have to sell a player to buy like we had to with RVP past summer.

I'm cool as a cucumber about proceedings so far. Real could easily buy Suarez and Cavani but as expected Bale is a massive target and the longer it plays out the better as our deadline qill force the issue, hopefully.

Would rather Cavani to Madrid than to Chelsea and would rather Bale stayed at Spurs.

It could pan out that if Bale goes Madrid then Ronaldo goes to the Rags which improves our rivals.

We could sign Isco and say Higuan while Cavani and Suarez go to Madrid, this improves us and. Madrid but not one of our Prem rivals.

Who could the Rags sign other than Ronaldo that would make us concerned, IMO only Bale but he wouldn't be sold to a Prem team and Messi.
