Unfortunately for all the positives about Dzeko's play he couldn't trap a bag of cement and when I look at our team I am impressed with the way most of our players bring the ball under instant control (note the word most).

We broke the one of the golden rules when we signed Dzeko and that is you don't sign players during the January Transfer Window.

Because we didn't chase him all the way through the summer window that year then?

As much as people want to back track now, I doubt there was a single City supporter that didn't either want Dzeko, or thought he would be the final attacking piece that we needed. We all drooled over his youtube videos, and also through his very impressive champions league performances for Wolfsburg

I can also remember everyone creaming themselves over his debut performance which only lacked a goal after the way he began forming a partnership with Tevez.

His touch may not be the best, but his goal scoring record can't really be in doubt, he has scored some very very important goals for us during his time, and his display at Spurs is one of the best striking performances we could wish to see. Like any striker, he thrives on confidence and the fact that he rotated so often under Mancini obviously affected his form badly

If he ended up staying then I wouldn't be that disappointed, but likewise if he moves on then I would feel about the same, I just can't understand all the negativity to a player that has given us some very very special moments
Agreed, we cant force a player to go any where. He`s scored some great & vital goals for us and is a good professional. We are trying to upgrade to Cavani as he`s available, who wouldn`t ? but i believe under Pellegrini we would see a different player , as we will with most of them in my opinion. Confidence is a major factor in sport & a huge one in Dzeko`s case .

That's something's like 1-3 for country, i agree he would be in a similar situation for City that he would be for His country whereby he's not the focal attack point like he is at Napoli.

Puts us in a tough spot. He only wants Dortmund, but Dortmund are holding on to Lewandowski.

What are we supposed to do if he only wants a club that doesn't want him?

We have put 55m euros down anyway as our second option acording to those reports a few pages back, Napoli will take that eventually in my opinion.

Wolfsburg fleeced us for what they could get and at the time of we bought Dzeko both club and player were struggling. Similar situation in what Napoli are doing right now. Scored a few crucial goals but not worth the fee we had paid for him.

Dzeko refuses...

Coupled with the laziest performance I've ever seen from a City player (McMinimum and Robinho included) vs. Spurs, starting to grow resentful too.

Building up to ADL's big finale.......

Well they obviously want Dzeko as they realise he's as good as Cavani plus they get shit loads of dosh... The Itis know what they are doing
