now go crawl back in your hole please...

Those articles are nonsense... and Bleacher Report? hahaha....

One headline screams: Rooney to be Drogba replacement.

I mean, a kid has just banged in 17 goals in the Premier league and is owned by Chelsea.
Why bother when you have a 20yr old Drogba in your squad.

Can't really be bothered but just do a search now for Lukaku, the quotations from yesterday are there for all to see. Mourinho wants Lukaku there.

Sam Wallace is worth listening to when it comes to Chelsea, he has an ear at the club

Real Madrid up the ante in bid to sign Manchester City and Chelsea target Cavani

Real Madrid are stepping up their interest in Chelsea target Edinson Cavani. The Spanish club held talks on Monday with the Napoli striker's representatives in Madrid and are known to be the player's preferred option if they can meet the £53million buy-out clause. Chelsea have made two offers. The first was rejected and the latest is understood to be goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois plus £40m.

The Belgian is regarded as one of the best young keepers in the world and has already intimated a desire to spend another season loan at Atletico Madrid who are also keen to sign him permanently. Manchester City were also expected to bid for Cavani last night but Edin Dzeko may not now be part of that package. Incoming coach Manuel Pellegrini is, however, still expected to beat Real Madrid to the signing of Malaga's Isco after Madrid last night signed Brazil midfielder Casemiro for £5.1m from Sao Paulo.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2339181/Real-Madrid-hold-talks-Chelsea-Manchester-City-target-Edinson-Cavani.html#ixzz2VsGL66M2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... z2VsGL66M2</a>

In terms of age it may look reasonable to compare the two as they are both youngsters. But, daily fail is not aware, it seems, that Isco is an attacking mid while Casemiro is a holding central mid. There is still a danger that they might come for Isco later on.

There is not even a single story in the media about us going for Rooney. We're not fucking stupid. Stop building castles in the sky to make yourselves feel better over the Cavani rumors.

Fancy a bet that Cavani ends up at us & not you?

Ok ?

Fine, lets say £20 to the charity of the winners choice. If he joins us you pay & if he joins you then I pay!

Cavani could be this seasons RVP story. If we get him I think the title will be ours...

If (and it's a big if) the media reports are correct that Dortmund are selling Lewandowski for 25m, why are we still pursuing Cavani?

We could get that fee down to 5-10m with Dzeko in exchange, that's where he wants to go anyway.

Compare that to paying a 63m buyout. That would be madness. Unless someone can convince me Cavani is worth 38m more than Lewandowski. Is he?

Because Cavani is world class compared to Lewandowski whom isn't?

Lewandowski is much cheaper though, would probably take lower wages and has come on as a player a lot over the last 12 months. He is 2-3 years younger than Cavani, and may well be the next up and coming world class striker, sort of a Falcao, Cavani type though.

Maybe we could try for Jackson Martinez instead, or even as well as, to give us more options if Tevez and Dzeko both leave. Lower wages and more pace.

I think there could be some decent bargains to be found from both Chile and Colombia, both countries are competing well in the South American qualifying league, and with our "new" manager coming from there, he may be able to unearth a gem.

Very interesting article in The Express ;)

Mourinho’s first target after taking over as the new Chelsea manager is a top-quality striker, with Edinson Cavani, Robert Lewandowski and Hulk the big-money targets.

But Chelsea have been keeping a close eye on Rooney’s situation at Old Trafford, where the England forward appeared increasingly unsettled at the end of last season after being left out of the team by Sir Alex Ferguson.

Rooney, 27, has yet to have talks on his future with new United manager David Moyes, and last night Mourinho said: “Rooney is at a fantastic age. He has maturity, big experience, and he’s still young.

“It’s up to him what he wants, what makes him happy. He’s a bit like me: he doesn’t need one more pound on his contract. One more cup won’t make a difference.

“Be happy. Where will he find more happiness to have the ambition and drive him? I like him as a boy. I wish him well and hope he is happy.”

Arsenal have also been tipped as potential suitors for Rooney this summer, along with French sides PSG and Monaco.

Sorry if it has been posted before :

ManTwitty (MCFC) @ManTwitty

# Man City increase bid for Cavani to £35m + Dzeko, will Napoli's President accept?

# Real Madrid join race with Man City and Chelsea to buy Edison Cavani. Could be a bidding war triggering the release clause.

hope to join us or at least Madrid if we failed to get him , but not Chelsea :)

There won't be anyone who steps up and answers you sensibly mate.

You're spot on.

I note a few posters are suggesting Lewandowski 'isn't world class'. Guffaw.

I'll try.

Lewandowski is a very good player but not world class imho. I know he had a stand out game v Real Madrid but that's been his best game to note but then there's games where he's invisible. He's got a better touch than Dzeko but imo there's not much between the two. Cavani on the other hand is one of the best 3 strikers in the world but younger than RVP and Falcao. He's carried a whole team on his back for two seasons and had thrived. He steps up in the big games and takes it by the scruff of the neck.

I think Cavani is a 40m player personally. I think the numbers are crazy. Such is football nowadays.

I agree with the idea of going for Lewandowski for his cheaper price. Maybe Dzeko in a swap or 5m chucked in. Spend the extra on Jackson Martinez. Let Tevez go too.
