Cavani Speculation/News 3 (or 4)

I haven't got a clue where he's going, but wouldn't he fancy playing alongside Aguero, Yaya, Silva, Isco?, Navas, Nasri, Kompany, Hart, Fernandinho, Tevez or Dzeko, etc.

Not only that, but I'm sure he'll be impressed with the new training complex, the expansion of the Etihad, and perhaps the plans for the Etihad Campus and Collar site, if they are shown to him?

Trying to be unbiased here. Wouldn't you rather play in the PL where 4 or 5 teams had a chance of winning the title next season, instead of La Liga, where it's the same 2 teams every season, with the rest making up the numbers. Yawn! Basically 2 matches, Barcelona home and away, + the Madrid Derby to look forward to. Contrast that to the PL. United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, etc.

I appreciate Madrid is a capital city and can offer the lifestyle, culture, weather etc. That's what Manchester can't compete against.

If Cavani wants to play in the biggest league in the World, then what better league than the Premier League. Yes La Liga is technically better, but it doesn't have the following and exposure of the PL.

Over to you Cavani.

he's lost the plot then. Modric is good, but Mata is better. I've seen the Torres rumours, but can't believe another top club would be stupid enough to buy him.
It might be a personality or Spanish thing? Apparently Mourinho was pretty hated by some Spanish players at RM. Anyway it was only a rumour...
The point is Chelsea are likely to have considerable funds for incoming players!

Well I am going of the fact that the lad himself has reservations about the Spanish league, and I am content to believe what his mum said. Another wonderful transfer window on Bluemoon :-) Another week of this and I will want to season to start :-)

-- Thu Jun 13, 2013 6:36 pm --

Oh by the way I read somewhere Bayern are now interested in him.

Napoli's star striker Edinson Cavani is in talks with Real Madrid and Manchester City, according to his mother.

The Uruguay international is one of the most sought-after forwards in the world and is also thought to be wanted by Chelsea.

But it would appear Real and City are leading the race for Cavani as they aim to activate his reported £53million buyout clause.

Cavani cools transfer talk
"Edi is dealing with Real Madrid and City," said Cavani's mother, Berta Gomez, in a radio interview in Montevideo, Uruguay.

She added: "In two or three weeks, we will know their fate and be able to say more.

"In any case, I assure you Edinson loves Naples and, if he goes, he will never forget the love and affection of the people."
