Is Cavani worth more than Sergio Aguero?
Yes because we need a world class striker, so many chances missed last season. He is well worth the money imho.

Don't forget Kun bagged us around 30 goals in his debut season, the man can score goals.

Every striker we had on our books had a howler last season and something deep inside the club was going on to cause that in my opinion, you could understand if it was one of them, but all 4?
True but what is wrong with 2 worldy strikers bangin 30+ each!

Just heard some news from a pretty reliable ITK (he knew about Jo, Caiceido and Hamann before the papers).

Anyway...
He told me that
Cavani most certainly may or may not be leaving his club in the next 2-11 weeks, it is a straight toss up between City,Chelsea and Real Madrid for his signature. The fee is said to be around 50 to 60 million pesetas

PM me if you want me to keep you posted.

Can we call it quits on all this PM shite.
The vast majority of us like a good laugh but this is now becoming very tedious and annoying while turning the forum into a joke.

Thanks.

so i guess we are still at the stage where we were a few days ago...he looks more likely to go to chelsea if you believe a lot of the media hype though his mother has come out and said we along with madrid are in talks with him....

I still believe that if the player has a choice it will be

1st Madrid
2nd Chelsea
3rd Us

If it comes down to who coughs up the money first it will be Chelsea

Just read this update on the Cavani situation

Chelsea have been warned that Manchester City and Real Madrid are the main contenders for Edinson Cavani's signature - by the Napoli striker's mum.

Despite Thursday's announcement of a deal to sign Bayer Leverkusen forward Andre Schurrle for £20million, returning Blues boss Jose Mourinho has made no secret of his wish to find a line-leader - and the hunt for Cavani was stepped up with a formal bid to Napoli president Aurelio Di Laurentiis.

The Italians claim they rejected a £43m bid from the west Londoners and are holding out for the full £53m required to trigger the Uruguay international’s release clause.

Chelsea appear determined to get their man, but Cavani’s mother, Berta, has told a Uruguayan radio station, “Edi is dealing with Real Madrid and City.

“Napoli president De Laurentiis has spoken with Chelsea, but so far there is nothing concrete.”

She added: “In two or three weeks we will know Edinson’s future. As soon as we know something concrete you will be the first to know.

“In any case, I assure you Edinson loves Naples and if he has to go, he will never forget the love and affection of the people and fans there.”

The Serie A outfit want cash up front rather than any player-exchange deal, as that will allow their new boss Rafa Benitez - who left Stamford Bridge last month after steering Chelsea to Europa League victory and Champions League qualification - to bring in more players of his choice.

Chelsea, though, are not giving up the ghost.

While deposed English champions City and Real appear ahead at this stage, the charismatic Mourinho could yet play a key role in bringing Cavani to London.
