Well, City shouldn't agree them to post artificial price then. It's something that is going to hunt City in future transfer deals and cost it money more then Shakhtar would be hunted by their fans.

Are Chelsea now in for Cavani? It would be just like them to play it down then come in and get the deal sorted quickly .... If we let Cavani slip though our fingers for the sake of 5 million or so it'll be distraous considering what we've played for some other players...

If ferran and txiki pulls this one off I will say that they are transfer genius.....last year hazard slipped through our hands but we cant afford to loose cavani to them again... If we get him i think he will make us immediate favourites with title......if for some reason we cant get him i hope he doesnt end at chelsea

Well if we are the only ones bidding and everything else is a charade put up by ADL to up the price and we don't then, I can see this one rumbling on for some while. But if the agreement between City and Real is good and RM stay away from him and Chelsea spunk 35m or so on Hulk then I can see ADL crumbling and getting him on our terms rather than his. I am still of the opinion ADL is a hard shrewd businessman who only wants what is good for Napoli so I admire him for that. One thing is for sure unsettling a player and getting the price lowered that way is not working in this particular case. IMO there is more chance of things happening once Chelsea have made there move not until then.

The last thing ADL wants is for this to be sorted quickly. The longer it goes on the better it is for him. He'd love a bidding war as clubs get more and more desperate as time runs out. And if no one ends up stumping the €63m, he'd be more than happy to keep him another year and see what Benitez can do with them.
