I really don't see it, are Napoli going to pay Torres his current 170k a week? I doubt it.

Torres would have to take a cut of 50-70k in my opinion.

Reports in Italy say Dzeko is preferred, and ADL got his representative to try and do a deal with us with Edin + cash for Cavani.

Of the two, i'd rather have Isco if we only had a choice of one.

We have players capable of scoring 20 goals a season already.

Cavani is outstanding, but Isco is special, and will be for about 14 years.

If we miss out on Cavani but sign Isco, I don't even care, and I rate Cavani as one of the top five strikers in the world.

Isco really is special and in my humble opinion could go on to be one of the very very best.

Fair enough but we definatly need another striker. If we can get Isco and Cavani I'd be thrilled. Wouldn't be dissapointed is we signed Isco and Benteke either. For me I'd almost prefer him. Cheaper tranfer fee, cheaper wages, younger plus woulnd't be upset playing second fiddle to Aguero.

IF Tevez is going (Juve) and Dzeko (Napoli/Germany?) too, we clearly need another striker to compliment Kun and Guidetti.

IF on the other hand only one of the above goes, do we need a direct striking replacement? In my view, not if we sign Isco; effectively we then play 4-5-1 with a midfield of, say:

Yaya
Fern/ Milner/ Barry
Silva
Nasri/ Nav
Isco

(plus all sorts of mixtures of the above)

and one of Kun, Dzeko/Apache and Guidetti up front.

I wonder whether we look off piste a little for a replacement if we need one? Surely Benteke has proved he can do a job in the Prem: effectively Drogba-lite with plenty of time to mature and improve. Fellow Belgian with Vinny. Probably £25m buy-out and cheaper wedge on salary.

Chelsea are after Hulk, added to Schurrle, can't see them being serious about Cavani. It's just ADL trying to hurry us up and ramping up the price.

Cavani will be ours, imo.
