But speaking at a media event at the Confederations Cup, he stressed that there is nothing to announce just yet.

Cavani told Globo Esporte: "Everyone wants to play for the biggest clubs in the world, clubs with a lot of tradition.

"But nobody knows my future, I don't know anything. I only know that I am a Napoli player. The truth is that there is nothing concrete, nothing official."
We have a similar tradition to Chelsea but are both dwarfed by Madrid's record. Another come and bid for me plea!

Re: Cavani Speculation/News 3 (or 4)

I cannot believe so many people still want us to get Cavani. Dzeko is good enough for now if we can make the most of him, and then we have Kun Aguero who can easily be the best in the world, and Tevez who is still very good. Mancini's 4 striker rotation policy never really worked last season. The season before, Tevez decided to play some golf in argentina so we had 3 strikers for most of the season.

I know that Pellegrini will place more emphasis on wingers and midfielders playing as supporting strikers. So why waste so much money on Cavani? Its like the Hulk story all over again where Zenit wasted so much money and now look at him.

Cavani deal is dead. City give up this deal.

It's only dead when he's either holding up a Chelsea or Madrid shirt, the nasri transfer rumbled on for months one minute he was at united then arsenal insisted he was staying the next he was signing for us. If city want him they will play the long game and get him at the price we want in August, Napoli seem to be touting him to everyone to get the money out of city. You think Madrid would pay the full asking price for cavani when they could buy Suarez for less? This should hopefully give city the impetus to seal the deal

If he really wanted to come it would have been signed sealed and delivered by now,as he must be fully aware as how long we have been chasing him.
Statement must be iminent "City pull plug on Cavani ..."

Translated in Tabloid speak to "Cavani snubs City"

Re: Cavani Speculation/News 3 (or 4)

I'm another one with interest in this player slowly but surely disappearing. Too expensive and not showing any desire to play for us.
I still do think we have seen the last of Tevez and I wonder who will come in. Unless Pellegrini decides to stick with Aguero and Dzeko.
