A word of caution.. If after today you think buying Cavani will turn all those missed chances into goals, you're in for one huge disappointment.
Harry Redknapp's missus would have scored at least one of those chances today.

If Cavani comes here we'll still have those days. Guaranteed.

Not nearly as many, though.

The misses today were down to the individuals.

No underlying issues, no midfield problems, just bad misses.

Cavani is a better finisher than most of our team.

Yes he would have bad games, but give him the ball inside the 6 yard box, goal gaping and I doubt he misses.

Had the ball came to him on the penalty spot, running on to it, I doubt he misses the target.

We need a finisher and someone who isn't afraid to pull the trigger for that matter, Cavani is that man, Guaranteed.

FFS, lets do our business early. Three months of wall to wall Transfer Forum would not be a pretty sight.

If we do our business early we will just go back to the Mancini debate agian. I prefer talk about transfers to how bad and shit our manager is.

According to @JanAageFjortoft, Borussia Dortmund have had another meeting with Dzeko's camp and a deal is edging closer.
If the above is true then we can consider the Cavani deal will not be done early... probably take a little longer if we're successful, but if Dzeko goes through, we may have to fork over a lot of money for Cavani.

We will anyway.

@StatCity: David Silva creates a goalscoring chance every 25.6 minutes on average, the most frequent rate in the Premier League this season. Platter.

And how many of those are wasted by our criminally wasteful forwards

This guy is not thetype of player we need. Not technically proficient enough, won't be able to link play well which is edon's glaring weakness too.

I fear a big mistake here.
