doesnt work that way with football transfers - posts from Tolmie and the like on football message boards can have a huge effect on the betting - the market is quite small - if 5 of us put £10 on Cavani going to Spuds the odds would shift wildly - in the past players like Nasri were odds on going to the rags one day, odds on going to us the next

So for the 1/1 on Cavani to City you put £1 on and get your £1 back as well as making £1.
