it's more of a 3-4-3 but that would all depend on how you class Maggio and how you'd explain Hamsik's position on paper Maggio is on the right and Hamsik on the left of a midfield 4 but with maggio's ability to play right back it often is sort of a 4 back when attacking and a 3 back when attacking we'd really be nitpicking trying to dcyper Maggio's position as it is dependent on whether you'd class him as a defensive auxiliary right mid or an attacking right back also Hamsik on paper is on the left but often drifts into the point of the midfield 3 in the CAM spot. Napoli can't be taken as they line up on paper as it doesn't correlate to where they line up on the pitch a bit like silva when he plays for city so if we class hamsik as a cam and Maggio as a RB as is feesable this turns it into a 4-3-3

Flexible 4-2-2-2 switching to a 4-2-3-1 with Tevez in the 'hole' during games. but yes essentially the same system so at least he has a solid base from which to build from.

Napoli striker Edinson Cavani's agent says his future could be decided within the next week.

The Uruguay international has been linked with a host of clubs, with Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City all said to be competing for his signature.

"Cavani in this moment has a contract with Napoli, but something more about him will be known in the next days," his agent Claudio Anellucci told Radio Sportiva

Anellucci admitted that matters are complicated by whether Napoli will need the player's release clause to be met, or not.

"Whoever is interested in him will knock at Napoli's door," he added.

"Generally when there is a clause to negotiate, a player's conditions are absolutely clear - in case of just interest, these decisions will be announced to the player."

This doesn't look like a fit for Navas tbh. We need a goalscorer with plenty of pace. That rules out Edin. I would go for Suarez. The midfielder. Fabregas. That way we are good to go with two players who are guaranteed to be successful in England.

Not feeling very optimistic about this after these comments...

I get the sense this is more of a "last call on bids" for Cavani, from his agent.

My guess is Cavani will stay if no one will come even "close to the release clause"...

Just get this bad feeling we have lost him. Also heard Santos have publicly stated they have rejected Barca's initial bid for Neymar and that they are expecting, after verbal talks, Real to make a sizable bid.

If this is true I think Cavani knows Real will not chase him and pay even close to the £52M.

PSG and Ibra have declared he is happy and staying put which means PSG is a certain no no.

Which leads to Chelsea and us... bad feeling unless someone knows something ... Tolmie, worsley, Dan, salfordpaul....? Guys have you heard anything at all about Cavani, cos its not looking good?

The annoying thing is 'in the next few days' could be days, weeks or months! Plus it doesn't say what the thing will be. Maybe it's just which teams are interested in him or whether Napoli will accept anything lower than the release clause.

I really can't see anything happening before the end of both our seasons.

That's the problem... my bad vibe is he will be heading to Chelsea... this agent statement on the Italian Radio show is too close to ADL coming to London and having "talks" with Chelsea about Cavani.

Feeling that the next week announcement is somehow tied with his recent visit and Chelsea bid...

I think we will go into the season with Agüero, Dzeko and Guidetti, and I think Txiki knows it is next to impossible to be able to manage 3-4 top class strikers and rotate them equally.

Pellegrini won't want that issue for sure.

If anything I think our buys will be to get the best out of the strike force we currently have, that's what I'm leaning towards now.

To be honest I would rather we have 2-3 top strikers getting regular playing time and keeping their for up rather than having 4 with one or two moaning here and there.

Chelsea managed 69 games with just Ba and Torres, something like Silva Thiago and Isco playing behind Aguero is wank worthy.
