Listening to Keys & Gray this am Keys is adamant that Rooney does not want nor has he asked to move.

Sounds like the old pisscan is trying to force him out and Rooney will get the blame - could be interesting !

Or more likely Keys and Gray are talking shit. ;)

Chelsea are coming for Rooney, and big time...

hehehehe

5/2 in willy hills
Lump on dan :)

I've only heard it's an option but no more than that, i would keep your money in your pocket at the moment on this one.

Tolmie may disagree or know if it's further down the line though?

Rooney would walk into their team, they played Torres last night
Of course they did.

He's scored 22 goals this season.

But like I said, Rooney probably won't play as the out and out striker like Torres does

He will. If he goes there he'll play a similar role to that he played in 09/10 for United.
I don't think he'll be as good as he was in that season but that will be there problem, thankfully.

Torres has played something like 63 or 64 games this season too.

Or maybe the old pisscan is lying through his teeth because the scum want to cash in and don't want their 60 billion fans moaning about it.

Just think about £250k a week on a player who they think they don't really need anymore. He doesn't play in the big games. I'm sure the Glazers would want his wages gone a nice transfer fee right now.

Pretty much my point.

Don't understand Chelsea going in for him but like you said, it would be their problem

I take it Cavani to us is looking very promising then?

Question is, has he got the balls this time to make the move.
The better question is, is he stupid enough to make the move?

Where would he play?

Torres, Ba, Hazard, Mata, Oscar, Lampard (more than likely), Ramires, Mikel, arguably Luiz in midfield too.

He's not an out and out striker any more, if ever, he'd be battling Mata for his spot imo and there's no chance he plays ahead of him.

Just looks like Chelsea would be aiding United's transfer fund for a player they want for the sake of having him.

I mean, he's not the sharpest tool in the box but even he has to realise he's not going to walk into their team.

Not forgetting Lukaku

I'd hate Chelsea funding United's spending this summer but if it meant cavani coming to us is a definite then do be it. I don't see why Jose would sanction that transfer though but Rooney definitely needs a fresh start

"Cavani has a buyout clause. If someone wants to pay it and he approves of the club we can't say no. Contracts are contracts"
-Aurelio Di Laurentiis

Di Laurentiis is the Daniel Levy of Serie A, such a stubborn cnut and unlikely to budge much on the clause add to that the 'interest' from Chelsea and it drives the price higher but if you factor in the £18-20M we got for Balo and lets say 12-15M possible for Dzeko that is 35+M i wouldn't begrudge stumping up an extra 20M for a striker that will improve us on an unquantifiable scale

The Bayern manager Wolfgang Holzhauser also believes his 22 year old striker Andre Schurrle has signed a pre-contract agreement to go to Chelsea for about £20m.
Benitez expects Chelsea to invest heavily, "Chelsea will be much better next season because they will spend £100million and they will sign three or four players."
