"Cedric" Boyata

can somebody here help me understand why are we not playing boyata?
I think he was terrific in all his appearances so far. i recall particularly his performance against chelsea, he was lot younger and handled drogba very well.

this guy is showing lot of confidence and maturity already. to me, he is better than lescott and garcia together.

i, for one, think he should have played on Sunday
However it wasn't Lescott and Garcia's fault that we played with such a slow tempo Cardiff were able to get everyone behind the ball every time we attacked, even when we would start with only five behind the ball

I think it was a good move by Pellegrini not to play him on Sunday.
Neither of Garcia or Lescott are leaders.

Boyata needs Kompany alongside him to help him through games by constantly talking to him and projecting an image of confidence and an air of arrogance with the way he plays. You could stick anyone alongside Kompany and you have a good chance of a good performance from both of them. He really is that good.

Boyata and Lescott or Garcia would have been a complete disaster.

You mean a bigger disaster than the 2 that played, squirty is right about the slow tempo but to have Yaya and Ferny that deep meant we were always going to struggle, i knew we would concede but thought it might have to be one of those games where we say, you score 1 we score 2 but although Cardiff had offered little we still didnt force ourselves on them

The two that played weren't the problem.

Was Garcia out thought twice from corners resulting in goals? did Kim ghost past four players and then Lescott to allow a cross into the 6 yard box?

No is the answer.

Of the three goals conceded you can't put one of them down to Lescott and Garcia. Yes they nearly allowed Campbell to score when he ran through but he didn't at the end of the day, nor did he when Garcia mistimed a header back to Hart.
So at the end of the day of the goals conceded, not one of them is down to Garcia and Lescott.

Had Boyata played I just think that we could have had more problems.

On tonights evidence the lad is clearly still very talented,i'm struggling to see why he has been behind a makeshift centre half in the pecking order?
