On tonights evidence the lad is clearly still very talented,i'm struggling to see why he has been behind a makeshift centre half in the pecking order?

wasn't pellers a centre half?maybe he just doesn't think boyata is good enough

Perhaps, yet that makes the decision to play a very limited midfielder(who is even worse at centre half) before him even more baffling?

Looks to be a footballing defender, and training with Kompany and being coached by MP will bring his game on leaps and bounds.

As others have said maybe needs to get his confidence back and playing in matches like this could be the first step he certainly has the talent lets hope he uses it. There will be plenty of games for him in the next few weeks especially when the FA cup kicks in as well.

Thought he did well to be honest looked comfortable on the ball and bringing it out of defense

We all know he is a decent defender but considering he has played very very little i though he looked extremely good

I don't rate him dctid.

He's got no brain for a footballer. He has the physique and is strong in the tackle without a doubt but in a top quality game against Premiership opposition he is found wanting time and again.

You can teach technique but not a brain and he hasn't got a football brain.

Not going to make it. End of story.

Deserves a chance ahead of Garcia every time. We will only know how good he really is when he actually gets games. He looked good tonight and physically seems very good for a cb. Mobile and quick is a bonus plus can bring the ball out. Hope he gets more chances in the future.
