What do you mean by that? We were confident because we'd won 10 on the bounce? Who'd a thought it.
Meaning we went there thinking they would roll over and just turning up would be enough. We won't do that at home in the return that's for damn sure.

Not like we were going to get first place in this group anyway so least now with tonight's results there is little chance it's anything but barca/City as top two

Players showed great character to come back 3 times. Atmosphere must have been very intimidating

That level of defending won't be the norm. We'll win the league, not struggle to finish top four. I agree it shouldn't be ignored when the team make errors. Tbh honest though I expected a tough game and that's what we got. I'll see how the Spurs game goes before throwing the white towel in.

Ah so mentioning shit defending is throwing in the towel.

Well Pep will be throwing the towel in right now then, because he won't fucking sleep thinking about it.

Tonight was shit defending not brilliance from Celtic. Pep knows it.

Which is our best chance & the biggest difference from last season, where the manager would be happy enough. Pep will acknowledge it & try to fix it.

Check this fella out.

Fuck knows what he'll do if we ever lose a fucking match.

Hopefully he'll cancel his broadband.

1 fairly bad game after winning 10 games in a row and some are acting like we got beat by Accrington Stanley. You couldn't make it up mate.

most of their players are champion ship level players though and the they've been shit recently. how in anyway is it arrogant saying that. can we not be confident now we win things ?

There's a difference between being arrogant and being confident. Us being city fans should know that better than most seeing as we've had to deal with United all those years.
People who expected them to go out there tonight and just roll over because they were playing against the likes of aguero, are arrogant.
People who expected them to give us a good game, but us to win, are confident.

First goal was definately offside mate, add to that an own goal and a bad mistake by Kolarov and a misshit shot by Dembele then it is highly unlikely we will concede goals like that against Spuds.
Mind you its fucking Mariner reffing .......OH SHIT
The first goal was off side but might have gone in without Dembele for the second it was still a dangerous position and good cross that Kierney made and Dembele catching the third properly it may well have gone in elsewhere. I think our defense is still needing quite a lot of work myself.

Not too disappointed with the result. Thought the first half performance was poor/very poor. Second half was ok.

Leaving Stones out was a mistake for me - in the first half we were crying out for someone with composure at the back; instead we had Kolarov and Otamendi twatting fifty yard balls out of play.

Thought both the centre halves were poor defensively. Fernandinho was dreadful first half, as was Gundogan. Silva started fairly poorly but grew into the game - the passes for the 2nd and especially the 3rd goal were fantastic. Thought Sterling was very good again.

Looking forward, I think there's some reason to be concerned. For years now - going back to Mancini's time - we've been utterly wank at dealing with teams that press us properly high ip the pitch. Tonight was another example; no doubt Spurs will look to do the same to us. Hopefully we find a better way of coping (and I have no doubt generally that Pep will get it right long-term in setting us up to deal with and counter such approaches)

Well that was a special night.the Bhoys worked our socks of and gave your boys the hardest game you will get off any team this season.my voice has gone the support were outstanding throughout the game.

thought we held out well and in Dembele we have a real gem.before the game i read a lot of how Toure and Sinclair were City rejects.be churlish for you to not admit there is quality in them both.Real hope we can grab 3rd.

Safe journey home City fans

In a way I am pleased that this type of result has happened now. This is a wake up call for the Spurs game, and takes a bit of pressure off us being expected to win every game. I think we can bounce back against Tottenham.

Regardless what league Celtic play in,if one or two players are not on it you can get away with it,but all bar sterling where not on it and we should have won tonight,a draw is meh ok,but think about it we where for the majority of the game poor and still should have won...

i doth think its disrespectful they got battered by barca and there team is full of championship players. the scottish league is shite swell. we've won ten games in a row and played some of the best football we've ever played so our bound to be confident.
They did get battered and deserved stick for that and the Scottish league is poor, but I remember the battles of Britain games of the 80s and 90s when the Glasgow two ALWAYS gave you a game. I am not saying we should not have been confident but never assume we will batter them on their patch.

Some very poor defending from front to back tonight and Guardiola won't be happy with that at all.

But it was a great football game and sometimes you've just got to sit back and enjoy it for what it is.

Pretty much how I saw it too. Disappointing performance, but it was a great game to watch even if we didn't get the result we wanted. Celtic is a much harder place to go than some gave credit to in the pre-match thread. Not too despondent, just hope it gives us a kick up the arse and stops any complacency creeping in.
