Cesc Fabregas signs for Chelsea (page 190)

Re: Cesc Fabregas

You really couldnt make it up could you...sky sports news just reported that fabregas will intrest the biggest clubs in Europe..that I agree with..what I don't agree with is that they are reporting that the Trafford clowns could be his likely destination...

We don't need Cesc, Nasri can play as CM and take Yaya's role.

I would rather buy Di Maria and move Nasri to play as CM instead of buying Cesc.

Is this a joke? Nasri to play in yayas role as CM? Do you know football at all? This isn't football manager.

Wenger used Nasri as a CM,CAM & Wider forward in a 4-3-3.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

Fabregas for 30m is a no brainer. I'd even sacrifice signing a CB (or 1 of our strikers) in order to get him in. He's top class. Assists(lots) and goals from CM. Plus he's versatile being able to play as a deep lying playmaker, in the middle or as an attacking mid.

Sometimes when these types of players become available you've just got to get them in. We almost certainly won't get the chance again, esp. if he comes to the PL.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

Guillem Balague said on Revista the other week that Arsenal do not have a buy back clause in Fabregas' contract.

and how many trophies did Wenger win at that time with Nasri in the CM? I'm not saying he couldn't play there, but looking how Pellegrini liked to set up with his former teams he'd probably go with Fernandinho and Fernando in the central midfield. That way the full backs can bomb up the field. Silva would drop back to help bring the ball up. I got a feeling Yaya will be back anyway.

I say hold onto Yaya, until we have time to groom a replacement ( as in coach, mould, mentor) then let him go next season, the potential earnings with him should outweigh an losses, we are going to take

Re: Cesc Fabregas

Fabregas isn't quite the same. But he can score, and the most important thing is that we won't lose fluidity.

And let's face it, Yaya's 31, Fabregas is 27. And he's homegrown, so it frees a spot for another foreign player.

My heart says no, but this is a no-brainer when you look long-term.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

I'd still personally pass.. Not sure hes what we need atm and I don't think we should go for him unless yaya somehow forces his way out which I don't think we should allow to happen
