Yaya WILL be used in a deal imo. No fee and worse case no extra wages on the current wage bill. He's no yaya but he's still a quality footballer and likes to play the sort of football we play so would fit right in! We cannot pass up this chance to grab a world class midfielder coming into his prime! Silva, fabregas, aguero, nasri and Jovetic wiuld terrify teams!!

If the release is 30mil then it can't go any higher, he can choose any club that meets the release figure. The club need to make a decision as somebody will need to be sold to buy him,with our ffp restriction of £49 mil, if we are going to spend around £40MIL on Fernando and a CB.

Where are all the people who were saying that buy out clauses benefit the selling club - here is another example (to go with Diego Zidane) that shows why it doesn't.

Fabregas for 30m is a no brainer. I'd even sacrifice signing a CB (or 1 of our strikers) in order to get him in. He's top class. Assists(lots) and goals from CM. Plus he's versatile being able to play as a deep lying playmaker, in the middle or as an attacking mid.

Sometimes when these types of players become available you've just got to get them in. We almost certainly won't get the chance again, esp. if he comes to the PL.

I agree 30m is a good deal and we don't need a CB because Fernando is that good they will all look like fucking world beaters even Boyata

I'm sure Suarez wasn't aloud to speak with arsenal when they bid 40mill and a bit for him.

I realistically value Yaya at £40m. If we let him go for £30m I'd feel we undersold him. £35m middle ground but Barca would still get a good deal for him there.

If Yaya does want to leave though then we are going to have to consider.

Swapping Yaya with Fabregas will be viewed by many as arguably one of the worst transfer dealings in modern times but if Yaya wants out we are going to have to take the hit.

Quite a spend they would be going on if they get in Lallana, Lovren, Moreno, Lambert, Fabregas and Emre Can, I wonder if Rodgers will still bring up the spending argument if he spends close to 100m this summer?

Less than ideal but I wouldn't mind it. Cesc is 4 years younger. Mind you, I'd prefer both.
