Champions League ban?

Would a 1 year ban really affect us that bad? Who would want to leave? I can’t see any of our top players wanting to go just for one year’s chumps league football. I think we’re more than likely to loose a few fringe players eg Danilo, Zinchenko, Gundogan as they will know there won’t be the opportunity to rotate as much. That mean the like of foden having more opportunities. My only worry is will this effect our premier league ffp situation ie could we have titles stripped etc? Does anyone know if this is the case?

I suppose it could matter when the ban would actually be.

Say it is a world cup year. Some players might think great, no Europe so less games.

Would no Europe affect their international chances? Doubt sterling would be left out of the England squad

Several interesting things here.

1. UEFA have to respond in the way that they have . They can't just ignore it given the high profile nature. However thus far there is nothing to suggest they are going to ban us. Lots of it's.

2. If the claims are true, then the big sponsors will also be in trouble as their books will be cooked. Ie if etisalat paidnus 60m, but they only paid 10m and mansour 50m, then what do etisalat books show. If it's 10m, easy case for UEFA to prove. If it's 60m then they have frauded their accounts also. Minefield

3. If we get a 1 year ban. Then it becomes a standard. Ie spend what you want, take a 1 year ban and then win it year after. They would have to be very careful

These attacks are very personal and we need to get personal. I hope City attack that leach at La Liga and Gill - we must be able to find something on these 2 and expose them for the frauds they are.

The competition is merely a money spinner for UEFA and all the clubs in it. It holds absolutely no prestige whatsoever with me, in fact i think UEFA and their competitions are a fucking joke!

I hope we do get a ban for a year so we can aim for getting 114 points in the Prem!

1) If FFP is ruled illegal, they can't just set up another competition with similarly anti-competitive rules around fair play and spending caps.
2) We already know from the leaks that the Super League plans were really just to put pressure on UEFA to give big clubs more money, and the public outrage in Germany made it clear that Bayern simply can't do it.
3) We are in the Super League plans anyway. We've become too big to leave out. There is no credibility to starting a league without the best team in England.

They can always create a competition on invitational basis, or use some 'historical coefficients', or select Antonio Mateu Lahoz for all City games, whatever. FFP is not the only possible way to 'show City their place'. There's no substantial difference between the current CL and hypothetical Superleague from City's POV, both are ruled by our enemies. We won't be allowed to win it and improve our standing in world football.

4) FIFA ended any chance of a super league by declaring any player who played for a club in a breakaway league would be banned from international football.

FIFA's (or to be precise, Infantino's) words are not set in stone. They can always change their stance, especially if their president is replaced by G4's puppet. And mind you, Infantino is one of the main targets of Spiegel's articles.
