Champions League ban?

We know from the leaks that the Club were prepared to go to law and a compromise was reached. There is absolutely no way that the Club would take this without a legal challenge and UEFA know that. The information was also attained illlegaly and was privileged, only intended for the recipient, therefore I doubt very much it could be used against City; again this would be challenged in law. To ban the best team in Europe from the competition would also devalue it, something that UEFA will not do. I would also add that the deal was done and there is no going back. UEFA are just appealing to the masses. Relax people
It’s more like pacify the masses with a quote, which is jumped on to sell papers. Pathetic really.

Everyone's been doing it for years, it's only now become relevant because City are on the map

The media and other supporters can say what they like as far as i'm concerned, after all the shit that was thrown at us while we were in Div 2 this is a walk in the park, some of our support needs to grow some balls and stick their fingers up to everyone that tries to knock us off our perch and smile :-)
Yes i know what you mean, if we can take the years of abuse we did then anything should be water of a ducks back. However, rather than having a conversation about football with people you meet, everyones first reaction now to anything city related is just a standard 'ah yes, you cheated your way to it didn't you'. Its just at the point now where i rarely engage in football chat with non city fans as the response from most people is so predictable.

I say let's bring the whole fucking lot crashing down around this corrupt organisation and the cartel in which they are only too eager to please!
But we'll have to do it on the pitch. That's what is good about this because if they try and use the rulebook against us the only way back is to reinvest in the football club and this time we are Champions and the best club in England.

We'd come to the end of the investment cycle. If they want the Sheikh to re-commit for round 2, then go ahead be my guest.

If investing a couple of billion in to the sport is considered cheating well then yes we cheated and we're proud of it too.

Jealousy is an ugly emotion

Investment is cheating if it occurs within a 4 year period that happens to contain City expanding.

If it happens before or since it’s fine.

Yeah that’s going to be fine in a court because the media says it’s true.

UEFA are stupid but don’t kid yourself it’s them that is behind this. Don’t kill the puppet kill the puppet master. Who is trying to gain an unfair advantage by curtailing a competitors investment? Is that fine by EU law? Where is that ok in other industries?

So easy to cloud the truth with nonsense these days.

Yes. City's spending was done. We had achieved what we had set out to do. But the bottom line was that post-Guardiola we were a 54k stadium still dwarfed by the Bernabeu and Nou Camp and without a Champions League trophy to our name. Arsenal looked poised to inherit and maybe Liverpool and we'd be stuck trying to hold them off and one day we'd fall. If they want to take City on, then know that City will go again and it will put us beyond reach for good. Last season City had 120,000 unique home supporters at the Etihad. But in truth there is a good deal of complacency and a lot of that support would melt away with the transitory success. But if you punch City below the belt, expect a response.

Liverpool and Man Utd fans have been praying for this but it will be a pyrrhic victory.

Press that button marked UEFA sanction if you want. All you will do is force Sheikh Mansour to play the long game. He was ready to leave us to it. If you blacken his club and by extension his name, he will be forced to whiten it. Do it.

Leaving aside UEFA & it’s corruption which is all speculation encouraged by the anti City jealous brigade - more importantly to me is the comment that SM was going to leave us to it. Where has this come from??

No more than City were doing down the self-sustaining route. I think the best chance Utd, Liverpool etc had was waiting for City's football cycle to reach it's end ad then use their size and history to beat us on the pitch and see us fade. But now if they force UEFA they will force our owner to respond and that means a motivated fan base, an expanded stadium, a new round of player recruitment when Guardiola's team requires it etc etc.
