Worldchoice Sports web page gives ATOL number as 5722. I checked ATOL website with that number and it wasn't recognised! More than dodgy.

To be fair that is a trading name, below is on the ATOL site. That said, after all the horror stories with the dippers last year I wouldn't trust them. Their Trust Pilot rating is 3.2 with 43% of reviews being one star and their Google review rating is 3.3 so there are obviously issues with the company.

I flew with Turkish airlines last year and we had to queue up for a boarding pass even though we only had a carry on bag.

I've been to a few airports where even though it's modern, they require you to get a boarding card from the check in desk anyway. Presume it's their preferred process rather than a technology issue as your boarding card still gets scanned in the security line and at the gate.

Weird question but does Istanbul airport (the new one on the European side) accept mobile phone boarding passes? Just gone to check in for my easyjet flight home on the Monday (it's early but thought fuck it you can check in 30 days before) and it says sorry this airport does not accept mobile boarding passes. Also won't let me check in and print off and says check in at the desk on the day. Surely that can't be right? The airport is only 4 years old.

Do you mean SAW airport? I flew to Istanbul the exact same weekend last year from Antalya.
Everything I had was digital include great aunt Debbie and 2 toddlers.

I think they’re just a bit old fashioned. You check in at desk, they give you a boarding pass.

I’d double check, as I don’t want to be held responsible for you missing the flights. if you’re from SAW, i’m guessing Pegasus? They’re nothing like our budget airlines. I was very impressed with them.

Here's a question for all my learned friends on here we are flying into Dalaman on jet 2 and then getting on a pegasas flight to Istanbul do we go straight to the gate on do we have to go through customs at the airport?

I had the same recently in Antalya. Had to queue up at the check-in desk on the way back as they don't allow online check-in or mobile boarding passes. That was with Sun Express (who also only got my golf clubs to me on day 5 of a 5 day trip, the fuckers!).
