Champions League Final | Post-Match Thread

Pep has said he learnt from Lyon.
Well no he hasn't.
His selection lost the match. Not our players. Not Chelsea being the better team on the night. Pep.

I'm not bitter about losing. Just they way it all played out.
When you have rag mates texting you before the game asking what the fuck is he doing playing Sterling and leaving Fernandinho out, then you really have to ask the same question to Pep.

There is no decent answer to that question.
You don't have to be paid millions to work our best team out.

I don't blame Sterling BTW. He's is just out of form. He knows it, so wouldn't have been surprised to be on the bench.

I just hate the matches when Pep finally decides to fix it (way to late), and you see the team actually start to play.
It didn't take a genius in the first half to work out it wasn't working. Don't wait until half time to fix it. Do it straight away.
The thing is we know Pep. Not only will he not fix it first half, he also won't do it at half time. So we sit there waiting until the game is gone, then watch as the incoming players sort it out, but run out of time.

I'll give Pep, this one. It was his to lose anyway. The league and league cup is a very good season.
In some ways i feel this actually keeps him with us longer...

Like I said, be disappointed.

But let's not go overboard here. We're still the champions and that's not a gimme at all (see, Mancini, Pellers, etc)

But sure, making our FIRST EVER CL FINAL is in fact progress
People criticising the performance tonight is not "going overboard".

We acknowledge what the club has achieved this season. We are critical of their actions and performance 'tonight'. Is that okay?

I don't know why fans are criticising the decision to play Sterling. The problem is not Sterling starting but the decision not to play Rodri or Fernandinho.

Every City fan must have sworn when they heard that side.
Not for me we didn’t lose because we didn’t have a dm. We lost beacause we ran out of ideas to find a way through their deep defense, Foden KDB, Bernardo , Mharez never looked like unpicking them, Sterling neither but he probably came closest. Was a game where we saw the need for a centre forward to challenge their 3 centre backs and make room for the other attackers. That’s the improvement we need for the next step.
