Missus rang City and pointed out the confusion due to conflicting information and she was told by City to rest assured that it isn't them who've made the mistake in their wording and if anyone's wrong it'll be Chelsea.

Could be an attempt to get as many blues as possible on the day trip rather than doing their own thing. If so, it worked.

Whatever the reason, it seems the club were wrong after all and Chelsea were right. E-mail from City:

Supporters who will enter Portugal prior to 8pm, Wednesday 26th May (more than 72 hours before kick-off) have the option of taking a Rapid Antigen Test to enter the stadium. This test must be taken in Portugal, no earlier than 8pm, Thursday 27thMay (48 hours before kick-off).

That’s a relief but it’s also naughty that it’s taken them this long to clarify, especially as they’ve been telling fans it’s PCR only and that Chelsea’s advice was wrong. That has led to some fans cancelling independent trips and booking on the day trip.

That’s good to know, cheers. Sorry if already asked but will a Thursday test fo for those on the day trip? City say after 1pm but you have to drop off before 10. Is it timed from the drop off or getting the results do you know?

I'm not sure mate sorry. Were dropping ours off Friday morning. This 1pm thing has caused a lot of confusion.

Would love to know this too! Panicking about dropping on the Friday and a test coming back inconclusive! At least if that happened I could try and book a same day test Friday (although I know the chances of that would be very slim!)
 
HID just discovered our PCR tests ordered at Xmas have expired (!) So...we need to book one before we travel on Saturday AM.

Just to check that the test needs to be taken 72 hours before flying AND 72 hours before ko. Correct?

Seen a supervised one at a chemist nearby for £150. Sound about right?

What a palaver... (fuck you UEFA)

Slightly over priced mate! £100 for one at Wolstenholme pharmacy
You can do just one PCR if the 72 hours test time is within departure and arrival
