Liverpool were very lucky, but they got the three points. They just lack top class players. If you don't attack them and allow them to hit you on the counter they don't have much to offer at the minute. I guess that will change a bit when the new signings settle in.

They have strengthened the wrong areas.

What areas do you think they should have strengthened. The only area they did not strengthen is midfield and the keeper. They bought full backs, wingers, strikers, attacking mids and a centre back. I question the quality of the signings.

A keeper a top quality striker and possible another defender. The rest of their signings are a waste of money.

I think they should have bought anther midfielder too. Strange they let Reina go. I guess that they hope that Balotelli will be that top class striker, but still hard to attract those sort of players. Sanchez did reject them and there may have been other players too.

Not that it is any consolation, but I think a better comparison is Tottenham. Every other day the press banged on about how Tottenham had spent 100 million and should be performing better, but nobody has mentioned that Liverpool have spent over 100 million.
