- Manchester City is my team - until I fucking die.
"No read the whole post" - obviously. Anyone disagreeing with you sparks an emotional response and you stop listening/reading.No read the whole post... counter denied... already told you why that's not an acceptable counter... we were going to win that game anyway even the press were amazed at the performance moreso than the scoreline(you also missed out a slightly soft penalty... but a penalty none the less... these aren't indefensible errors aside from the Jesus goal and they happened in the same game where we were always getting 3 points). Mane incident was a red card... in no uncertain terms in ANY ERA, could have been a yellow counter denied.
Come back when you've read it all again with something credible.
So basically it's this - any error on behalf of City is no evidence against a conspiracy against City, either knowingly or as a result of subconscious bias.
Well then, if that's your premise, your position is unassailable.
But really...
Why not take an unbiased view?
Actually tally up questionable calls for/against City over, say the last 5 years. Do the same for other sides.
Does the plus/minus for City lie beyond 3 or 4 standard deviations from what be expected by pure chance?
If so, you've got a great, scientific argument that you're in the right.
Meanwhile, you've got no basis whatsoever.
===============
Leveling claims of persistent bias against City or any other P/L side is a huge, huge claim.
And huge claims demand proof. Such as the proof - should it exist - evident after taking on a scientific analysis as outlined above.
And this is important.
Otherwise, how on earth are we to decide what's actually going on in our lives - is the government out to get us - is there a big conspiracy against my race/religion/ethnicity/etc.?
Anyone can voice an unsubstantiated, emotional argument - but if you make big claims, back it up with scientific proof.
So far, I've seen zero proof from the anti-City conspiracy theorists.
