You could barely 'damage' a 9-man Spurs team imploying kamikaze tactics...Jackson had the worst hatrick performance I've ever seen. A draw would be a fantastic result for you, doubt you'll get it though. When we came out of the last international break, and everyone was talking about this tough stretch of games we had coming up, City at home was the one game I had down as guaranteed loss.
I feel optimistic about this game. I think we can do some damage in the counter. If we can somehow stifle your attack long enough to take the lead, we just might have enough to grab a result. We can’t let you settle into a rhythm though.

That fence giving you splinters FFs ;-)I mean we beat them 4-1 and created 3-4 other sitters, so I don’t think true that we could ‘barely damage’ Spurs. Us being profligate is our biggest problem. Anyway, it doesn’t change the fact that I feel optimistic going into this game. I think we’re going to lose but I think we can win.

Now, That’s What I Call A Reply.Gvardiol, the best young defender in the world.
In 2022, Joško recorded a top speed of 34.57 km/h, ranking him the fastest centre back in the Bundesliga. Don't think Sterling is faster than that. He might not look that fast, but he has handled much better players than the likes of Sterling. The point being, he is capable of being fast when challenged.
11 against 9 for 40 minutes (and they nearly got you to 2 2) and you’re bragging. If it wasn’t for the kamikaze spurs high line you may have shaded it 2 1. It’s not arroganceThe usual arrogance and over-confidence on here. Who is our speedy left back able to keep up with Sterling in his current form? We will concede at least two counter-attack goals so I am predicting 2-3.
Agree 100%Gvardiol, the best young defender in the world.

Like the central heating, the VBC (very big coat) is for December to February onlyIf you are going to the match leave your big coat at home and get your very big coat on because I predict a chill in the air.

Gotta be honest, that game v Spurs was one of the best I’ve seen. Goals with 2 offsides, possible attacking foul and penalty claim to unpick all in one incident. Spurs battered you in the opening 10-15 minutes and the game just appeared to change for no apparent reason. In parts Spurs were like Liverpool under Klopp in their pomp. Yet a fragile Chelsea overcame all that. T’was bizarre.First of all, I’m not bragging. Im correcting someone. Please consider the context of my posts. Secondly, they were all over us the first 20 mins. We got on top in the game the next 10 and by the time they self imploded we were well on top, so I disagree that they were battering us 11 v 11.
Anyway, it’s in the past now. How do you think the game at the weekend will go?

Sterling has clocked a top speed of 34.97km/h. Gvardiol is quick but Sterling is quick too. I have seen us neutralise the fastest players in such a way that they can not use their speed or even sniff the ball. Haaland at Dortmund, Timo Werner at Leipzig, Mbappe and Vini Jr have all been neutralised by us. I am not sure with the absences of Stones we can still play to that strength but it looks like it is a super power we have as a team, to neutralise fast player, but I have also seen us get stinged by counters too, a lot. Anyway we will see if we still good at that when Sunday comes. I hope we stay vigilant and clinical. We need to be efficient up top.The usual arrogance and over-confidence on here. You're spot on there. It amazes me the number of people who get their take on a game from listening to Ratboy Neville's comments, all of a sudden in the 2nd half he started criticising Chelsea almost as though a producer had told him too. At this point you were tearing Spurs apart at will and looked like scoring every time you crossed the half way line - as you say, woeful finishing let you down - but on and on he droned saying Chelsea look nervous here blah blah blah. Fucking clown.I mean we beat them 4-1 and created 3-4 other sitters, so I don’t think true that we could ‘barely damage’ Spurs. Us being profligate is our biggest problem. Me too, I hear there’s a storm coming in from Norway. If you are going to the match leave your big coat at home and get your very big coat on because I predict a chill in the air.
Like Pep I am always wary of Chelsea, you have some decent players who can hurt City. However, defensively you are flaky and Doku if he plays will be a real threat add in the equation Haaland who seems to be finding a bit of form then could be a difficult afternoon for Chelsea. Should be a good game and I'm looking forward to it.First of all, I’m not bragging. Im correcting someone. Please consider the context of my posts. Secondly, they were all over us the first 20 mins.
