Try as I might, I just can't get too upset after that. We were shit, no doubt. Kevin's injury followed quickly by Steffen's WTF moment knocked the stuffing out of us.

Have to assume he picked that lineup out of pure necessity, considering how fucked Dias and Kev were and the lack of subs. Had he gone stronger today, maybe we win. But the risk of dropping another 3 points in the league because we have to play our second string is too great IMO.

The quadruple was always a pipe dream with this squad, obvious weaknesses at full back and up front, plus too many who have completely hit the wall. Nobody has ever won all 4 trophies in this country, doing it without a single week's rest was never going to happen. Amazing to get this far, now let's just fucking win this league and as for the others? A bonus.

P.S. Now we know why he rotated against Leeds - the whole squad is fucked, either through fatigue or a lack of match sharpness. At this rate Sergio will get a game.

Hard to watch Raz today, kept trying the right things but they never came off. Had that run in the second half where he beat a couple of men and I thought, "brilliant, he's flicked the switch". Then he struggled even more.

His confidence is through the floor. Talk of selling him is plain silly though - unless anyone thinks Real will give us the 100m plus he's worth in this market? I doubt it. Seemed to play better in an England shirt last month so hopefully he can get his mojo back in the summer.

Mendy -negligent - again. He odesnt defend...he loses ziyech for thier goal by letting him run past him and this happened numerous times....gives the ball away and is brain dead giving fouls away when applying pressure. He also let Ziyech run for the second one that Steffan saved after Dias missed the long ball -Mendy just watches him run past him.

Sterling -awful - needs ot be dropped till next season

Jesus - annonymous again again and again as a goal threat.....his work rate is not enough to keep excusing him

Torres -did nothing.

The biggest surprise however was KDB - even before the injury his approach to the game was unacceptable - I watched him 3 or 4 times in the first half stop running when we lost possession - poor passing

Ferna and Foden (and Gundogan when he came on) where the only ones to come out of that with any credit.

If Pep keeps rotating the league is going to be very close

For me Foden needs to start every match till the end of the season...he is a young kid and willmanage this....

If Aguero is fit he needs to play

Gundogan must start every game as well and Id say Stones over laporte as well with walker at fullback

Mendy, Sterling shouldnt even make the bench for any remaining games.

Could be that KDB was feeling a niggle, but played through it!
It was one point where Sterling lost the ball and then just didn’t even bother to chase and just started walking. I’ve never seen him do that and is clearly something very badly wrong there!
Thought Laporte was OK, but Mendy is like starting a match with 10-men? £50m!!!,

Chelsea were awful and we were worse, embarrassing Sunday league defending for the goal.

Really? I thought they payed very well, organized and solid, made it (as it turned out) impossible for us to break through.
They will be a force next season, I'm sure.

There was even a glimmer of hope we would get something today because thats how shite Chelsea are. Fucking West Brom put 5 past them.

Not using Bernardo and Mahrez was criminal.

I was thinking Foden, Bernardo and Mahrez will come on and we'll tear them apart but we took too long to change it. Pep obviously thought he'd rotate the squad but that starting midfield was not good enough and didn't give us a chance to get in the game.

On the plus sign I am not that worried about kdb being out as in most seasons. We played almost better without him when gundo was pushed up.
