This was just one game too many in a very congested schedule. Utter shite that Soton/LCFC are playing on Sunday after a mid-week off. Chelsea getting an extra day didn’t help either.

The entire team looked lethargic today and they were letdown by the rested players not making any runs to open up space. Furthermore, inaccurate passing through the midfield stalled any build-up. I suppose it was bound to happen.

I think Dias looked tired and so did kevin but it's a mixed team. I'd venture to say that that team hasnt played together ever before. But if he doesnt change it he would be murdered on here. Catch 22 really. Couldnt play the exact same side as in midweek could he ? Quadruple attempt is very difficult as rotation creates an unsettled side.
Plus Tuchel got his tactics spot on. Just let us come on to them. It was working too for the first half anyway. We will play them again in a few weeks and we will do way better .

I’m not getting it with Torres , he doesn’t have any affect on games , I know he’s a young lad and It’s his first season , new country etc .
But been really unimpressed with him , I thought we were getting a direct winger who was skillful and could beat a man .
I’ve not seen anything from him , looks a half decent finisher got a few goals earlier in the season but no where near the first team for me .
Gonna have to see how he gets on next season , needs to improve dramatically, he’s anonymous every time I see him play on the wing .

Despite his failings and form. He has the best natural movement of anyone in our squad by an absolute country mile.. hence why he finds himself missing so many easy one on ones with keepers.

His observation of his surroundings isn’t his problem. Confidence is. It happens.

We are out on our feet at the moment, we are close to winning the league and are in the semi of the CL. These games have to be our priority, given we are in the final of the League cup I expect we will go strong and so today was a chance for us to rotate, unfortunatly it didn't work out.

He will play a weakened team in the LCup final & we could lose , the league could end up our only trophy, lose to Villa & that could be in the balance too. Before you all laugh, when you lose momentum it’s incredibly hard to get back ...we’ve all seen it before

Fernandinho yes could of got a earlier booking, especially if you listen to that Steve bloke commentating, he was desperate for him to get booked !
But now many soft little nuggers did he give as free kicks to Chelsea ? Like he was on a mission to stop a City win . And I think the thing in the first half that Matelartin may be on about , was the corner in the last minute, when KDB took it and he blow his whistle , KDB wasn't happy about !
