I find it a bit sad reading thoughts like yours regarding the FA cup.
Many clubs fans would give anything for a chance to enjoy winning it, but it seems some of ours are taking our success for granted as if it will last for ever.
The FA is the oldest cup competition in the world and I'd like our team to try their best to win it, along with every competition they enter.
These days we have a team that has a chance of winning trophies and we should make the most of it.
As I've mentioned it won't last forever.
I totally agree with your comments and cannot understand the logic behind not wanting to win every competition we enter. Remember how the rags devalued the FA cup by not entering one year? Well some of the comments on here are on a par with those scum rag twats

Not sure I can be bothered with the FA Cup this year. Instead of going out limply in the Semi-final after putting out a heavily rotated side, it might make more sense to do that now. Saves us games further down the line and saves the fans a fair bit of ticket money.
On the other side of the coin, virtually all the games I go to these days (as I imagine is the case with lot of other City fans) are Cup games ,because generally they are a lot more affordable than Premier League games. Also, if you don't have Sky the games are on also on ''normal' TV
To me the FA Cup does still have a special feel about it, growing up in the 70s I would wonder if I'd ever see City in an FA Cup Final.
Have to agree about going out limply in the Semi's. Our FA Cup semi these days seems to be like our Quarter Finals in the 90s/2000s when we would always lose.

I've learnt that you can hardly ever second guess what Pep will choose, but I'd be very surprised if Stones, KDB, Gundo and Haaland aren't rested - and possibly for Southampton too, keeping them fresher for the derby.

After Thursday some players need a rest (KDB, Rodri, Stones). Others need minutes like Walker, Cancelo, Foden and Palmer to get some rhythm. So hopefully a few changes
