very big week for pellegrini and it could end very bad for him if we lose the 2 games or should we lose the league cup it maybe lead to the board jumping right now and give pellegrini the boot and let brain kidd have the 12 games to get us back on track and keep us in the top 4 that's is the bottom line for me. 4th place a must for pep to have time to get the right players he wants right now and champions league will be the key to any superstars coming in the summer

Rather have Pell at the wheel that Brian Kidd was my point. If results don't go our way these next few games, I will still support his decision to field the team he did against the Chavs.

I will be glad when we have pep, but whilst Pel is here, he has my support. Anything wrong with that?

Chelski were 11/10 before the teams were announced. Not sure how long before but it was available Sunday morning.

Great 1st half but inexperience and a strong Chelsea performance did us in the end. I can't say I'm that bothered because we could have a trophy in the bag by this time next week. We needed to give ourselves the best possible chance in all competitions and the FA Cup was 4th on that list in a week where we nearly play in all 4.

Manuel has been banging on for weeks that we were still in all four competitions ... so why is he suddenly surprised that being in all four would result in fixture congestion, injuries, fatigue and a stretching of resources? You don't need a crystal ball. Had he played the kids when he should have, in the Cup games against Hull and Villa, for example ... bedded them in as a matter of course ... we might not have had so many injury problems with senior players and the kids wouldn't have to be thrown in at the deep end against a team as strong as Chelsea. Player of the season at Spurs is 19-year-old Dele Alli. We just paid £49 million for a 20-year-old who has been playing in the Liverpool team since he was 17. Why aren't we seeing more of our teens on a regular basis? You can put money on Guardiola blooding more of our kids on a regular basis.

Even if you accept that Manuel was forced to play the kids on Sunday ... why is he putting them out in a 4-4-2 formation? It's not worked all year so why would it work now? Why is that backline so criminally flat? How many times did Chelsea get a runner in behind that backline with a simple one-two? It was schoolboy stuff ... and that's not individual errors, that was his gameplan. It was amateurish and awful to watch.

MDM was poor again and Willy was awful. But who brought them to the club and who insists on playing them? Would any other top flight manager have brought in either of those two? I doubt it. Willy was at fault for three of the goals and arguably culpable in all five. Yet we all expect him to play on Sunday.

Manuel had a great first season ... a so-so second ... and I fear the worst right now for his swansong. Hope I'm wrong :)

Agree with your point about Kidd, just. Don't think that you can keep supporting mp on current performances.

He's our Manager, and we should be old and bold enough to take the rough with the smooth.

Our performances IMO are not all down to him. Yes, he does take some of the pain, but the players should also be held to account for some performances.

as a big lover of the FA cup I was disappointed at yesterdays defeat, however I fully understand pelligrini's decision to play so many youngsters and they did us proud yesterday especially in the 1st half, and fingers crossed it proves to be the right decision for Wednesday and for sunday, and as already stated joe must start on sunday as I felt willy was poor yesterday. next stop kiev.
