Chelsea thread 2012/2013 season

I just hope, if those rumours are true, that he doesn't bring Isco with him..

Seems we've closed the deal for German winger/striker Andre Schurrle for £20m. I don't think I've ever seen him play though, but I hear good things.

He's definitely better than Marco Marin, question is if he will succeed in the PL. I've seen him a couple of times and he looks like a very decent player. Not a bad buy for them in my opinion.

Lets hope he's better than Marko Marin!

Everybody can be better than Marin.

Yay I get to bump this thread again:

Chelsea's on-loan goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been awarded the 2012/13 Ricardo Zamora award by Marca. The Zamora trophy is awarded to the La Liga goalkeeper with the best goals to games ratio, but is limited to goalkeepers who have made at least 28 appearances during the season. Courtois has the best ratio of any La Liga keeper by a fairly wide margin, as 3rd place Atletico have only allowed 30 goals during the entire 2012/13 campaign.

Courtois is the first goalkeeper not from one of the two biggest clubs to win the award since the 2006/07 season. The last four Zamora's have all gone to Barcelona's Victor Valdes, with the one before that going to Iker Casillas.
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.weaintgotnohistory.com/2013/5/12/4324600/thibaut-courtois-wins-zamora-award" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.weaintgotnohistory.com/2013/ ... mora-award</a>

He's also conceded the fewest goals (30), 8 fewer than Barca and 7 fewer than RM and kept the most clean sheets (19).

What will happen to Kevin De Bruyne?

Is he part of this deal? or will he end-up in Dortmund?

Nobody knows.

From what I understand, Leverkusen don't want to sell Schurrle unless they get KDB on loan. Chelsea want to bring KDB back next season, but want Schurrle. Dortmund want to buy KDB to replace Gotze and they're obviously an attractive club to go to. We've heard nothing from Chelsea or KDB himself on it though so it's all rumour and guesswork at this stage.

Personally I'd be astonished if we sold KDB considering how successful he's been on loan. At worst we'll loan him out for another year.
