Our squad is no less than chelsea's in terms of quality, the main difference is the mentality of players and the coach and the way in which they approach the games. They have started and looked very well though. We looked lethargic and complacent for most parts of the game against Stoke.I hope we can turn it around with the games against arsenal and chelsea.
I have said it before, but I think City not only have better players in the first 11, but better players in the squad too. Chelsea have a more balanced and better put together team. Mourinho is a master at putting together teams with great chemistry and balance. City still have more players that can pull out with a bit of magic though.
For me pellegrini is a bit naive tactically or more so stubborn for not being too flexible with team formations when compared to mourinho.

Yeah. That's why he only won 2 of the 3 domestic trophies in his FIRST season. You are spouting last years ridiculous media line. Keep up

Chelsea have a very good team and a very good squad, but they are no better than we are. I wouldn't replace Kompany, Ya Ya, Silva, Fernandinho/Fernando, Aguero or Dzeko with any of their players and I don't think any of the players in their first choice eleven would go anywhere to be "rotated". Pellers has got a squad which has tremendous esprit de corps and is completely professional. Mourinho might have too, I just don't know. I suspect that City and Chelsea will be the great rivalry in English football for some years to come, but I think City will have the better of it.

Aye this chelsea team looks like maureens old chelsea. Im not flapping here because we lost today. I have felt since the start of the season that I dont think chelsea are going to have any slip ups. I think there going full throttle right through till the end of the season. The signings they have made and looks like costa has found his feet straight away. I hope im wrong but I think they mght win this league by a comfortable margin.

I reckon its going to be a right tussle between us and Chelsea. They are going to be one hell of a force this season and Costa has hit the ground running just like Aguero did. Fabregas has also had an impressive start. We have to take heart that they conceded 3 today and it could have been more (very unlike Mourinho). I can't see many slip up's from them against the lesser teams, Maureen would have drilled it into them after last season, especially as they had the best record against the top teams and would have won the league at a canter if they avoided many slip ups at home against the likes of West Ham, West Brom, Norwich and Sunderland). Saying that, I'm confident we will beat them in a few weeks

No offence mate but I'm sick of hearing of how all these other teams would've won the title last season if they hadn't lost to lesser teams or scored more or some other paltry excuse.

That League would've been wrapped up in April if Sergio had been fit all season.

Dead right Pal. Our injury's seem to get brushed under the carpet. That 1st half at Tottenham was frightening stuff from sergio.

If we'd played against that Everton defence playing like that, we'd of filled our boots as well. Everton were appalling. Some fans really need to sack up a bit, it was only last week that we strolled past Liverpool while Chelsea laboured to beat bloody Burnley.
Do you mean Leicester? We demolished Burnley.

Jose wasn't happy that we conceded 3 goals in the post match interview, but Fabregas and Costa have improved our firepower immensely. He said all last season that we needed a striker, now we have one. This has been our problem since 2011. We're probably buying Remy as backup too, though I'm disappointed we're probably not getting Destro. In any case we're playing the best football I've seen since Ancelotti at the moment, hopefully it continues.
crazy crazy match but loved every minute of it...
if you play like that every week we all might as well pack up now...
ivanovic is the right back isn`t he?
scoring in the centre forward position after 3 minutes......madness...
going to be an entertaining season mate.

We're only 3 games in. We usually start seasons strong, November is when things start going wrong for us. We even have a song for it: "Remember, remember, we're shit in November". Like clockwork every year. If we have a good November I'll be more confident.

Costa is a classless prick. I hope Zabaleta sorts him out when we play Chelsea. Howard was right to go over.
I missed the game. What did he do?

Coleman was winding him up all game, elbowing his back and kicking him. Not unlike what Luiz was doing to Aguero a few years ago.

They just added Remy now. Good pacy attacker, can be used on wings too, good option from bench when parked bus teams have to be opened some with some extra pace/width option. Also wasnt expensive at all.
