How could the ref have made sure? I was surprised Moss even got involved in the whole farce. It had nothing to do with him. He should have just got on with the game.

Would have thought a quick word telling him he's got to go or would be red carded would have done the trick.

the club should be up for a disciplinary hearing by the football league and a big fine and also bans for the keeper and manager ??

it was time wasting by the keeper and both times city was on the attack and looking good and getting back in the game so the keeper went down like a sack of spuds to take the heat out of the game and get so info from the bench, my take on it was about 4 to 5 minutes should have been added on after the injury time and so glad it backfired on chelsea

also another pain of my and our history following manchester city in the dark days and the full member cup final payback time, lost many good friends and loads city fans that went to that game all them years ago and this win is for them up in heaven

Its not an offense so he couldn't red-card him, the instructions to the ref is if a player refuses to leave the pitch when hes being substituted then the game should continue

I'll take your word for it. Wonder if there is an IFAB rule that covers this exact scenario.
