If they can be arsed they're excellent but like our fifth column in the past something isn't right there.

Sarri with little or no authority has managed to get them in the CL, won a cup in Europe & to a domestic final & it still looks like he could be turfed rather than backed.

i think this has been an excellent 1st season for Sarri; 3rd, Europa winners and domestic final. They've had some bad blips they need to iron out but i think he's done well. Both my Chelsea mates hate him though, say his style is bad to watch more often than not and tbf he hasn't got a great backing at Chelsea generally.

Happy for Sarri but how do you replace Hazard? Pulisic will need time to adjust to England, and last night’s performance showed just how reliant Chelsea have become on the little Belgian.

Happy for Sarri, this lot could have given him a heart attack with their shenanigans. Good luck to him

As could his habitual smoking.

They’ll have to turn it on for me to be impressed, next season. They were bang average for a top side last season, with a trophy that’s decent.

Could argue he has done better than Pep in his first season.
A complete overhaul of playing style, one cup, another final and 3rd in the league all with what seems like a few bad apples in the team.

Sarri has done well for them, but I can't see much more happening for them as they can't change up the squad with the transfer ban, but good luck to him if he can accomplish anything next year.

Depends on whether we're allowed to spend this summer.

If we can't, then the obvious answer is we don't replace him, but if we can? We can beef the squad up with excellent up and coming talents like Jovic, Pepe, Felix, maybe even your own Leroy Sane (if he somehow becomes available). In order for any it to happen though, we need to be very aggressive in the market and avoid haggling over transfer fees.

If you combine those sorts of players with the good ones already here like Jorginho, Loftus-Cheek, CHO, Pulisic, Emerson as well as couple of loanees returning like Mount, Abraham and Reece James - that has a look of a team that can mount a title challenge.

Reality is that too many teams are looking at too few highly talented players, so haggling over fees, and even more so salaries, is almost inevitable. Being a top player’s agent must be one of the easiest jobs imaginable. :-)

I’m not so sure the players you mention are enough to sustain a title challenge, but we’ll see. When do you expect to learn about whether you’ll be able to spend, August 7th? ;-)

You can avoid (or at least limit) haggling over fees by overpaying their market value, which I would fully endorse. We're back in the CL as top seeds, so we'll be negotiating from a much more attractive position, even if Hazard leaving hurts that attractiveness quite a bit.

Good question. God knows - apparently we can't appeal to CAS without FIFA issuing the club with the official document on the charges and why the initial appeal was rejected. For some reason, FIFA have delayed in issuing that document, and tbh it does feel a bit like they're taking the piss out of the club.
