Just read that former FA Chief Exec Graham Kelly is urging the FA to hold a minute's silence before the game in honour of the Iron Lady / Wicked Witch of the West M. Thatcher.

Not wishing to get drawn into politics here (although personally I feel she should be condemned as an enemy of the people rather than given a state funeral and have her head put on a spike outside Agecroft Colliery), you wonder what planet some of these people inhabit.

Surely the FA won't be that stupid...but if they are is it Poznan time again??

silva is the player that mata wishes he was, im not sure what games theyve been watching but i cant recall mata ever running rings around yaya although i do remember yaya dummying 3 chelsea players out of their boots

I can't find a full version of the gif but he takes the piss out of both Yaya and Kompany in the same run. Mata has outperformed Silva by a mile this season, both statistically and anecdotally. Even Hazard has been better. If City had Hazard and Mata you'd be close to unstoppable.

Since we have to go to Moscow on Thursday and City gets a week rest, I think this game is more heavily in your favour. We traditionally have the most trouble against City when it comes to top sides but we have more experience at Wembley and we're hitting our usual late season form. We're also a big game side at the moment. It may go to extra time but I'd say 60/40 in City's favour is a realistic prediction with all factors considered.

I forgot to add that we're different animals to United. United like to counter-attack with wing play and pace. They play shock and awe. They let equal sides have their buildup play and midfield possession. Chelsea will take you head on and City has had the better of that battle in recent history (but not always). Comparisons between the two aren't a good indicator, and we've both beaten them at their place recently, so we've both got the confidence factor.

City haven't lost many big games in the past few years either pal, have more trouble with the Southampton's and QPR's of the world!

Agree Silva hasn't even been in Mata's league this season, and stats or no stats Hazard can fuck off just because he was a **** last summer :)

I realised that as soon as I posted it but coming back from 2-0 there of all places felt like a win. The game at SB was like a formality as they looked dejected and defeated save for a spark in the second half.

A simple suggestion. It was a big reason why we did so well the last time we met. Hopefully our pressing is just as good as we can't really afford to give the trio any time or space on the ball.
