I absolutely hate this pro-England commentary, even if they did it for us (and I haven't seen an example of that yet) it's awful. Must Al Jazeera buy rights for league and cups for us to get professional and impartial coverage?

Wtf is wrong with it? Guarantee if you'd have been listening to Italian commentary tonight they'd have been going mental when Inler smashed it in.

It's unprofessional when commentator's biases override sense and logic, and at times it's borderline xenophobic towards the dirty little foreign team.

Have you ever seen Al Jazeera's footage of football? It has been a refreshing change whenever I've seen it, you see some of the same pundits as on Sky and BBC yet they deliver impartial and knowledgable analysis instead of the Rule Britannia routine.

Stop talking crap ffs.

Chelsea were brilliant, Drogba absolutely unplayable tonight!

They were very good. Does make you wonder about the player power thing though. No way that the team has been transformed by RDM in such a short space of time. Hate Terry, he is running the show imo.

I think it shows Villas-Boas selection of players was poor, Chelsea are best playing with power, he tried to change that. Don't fix what isn't broke, that's what they say, think it shows players like Meireles aren't good enough for Chelsea.

Al Jazeera footage? Yes I have. Impartiality? No. Because you don't see matches like Chelsea Vs *insert any Arab team here* that's why.

I won't deny ITV in general is shit when it comes to football coverage but with regards to seeing English commentators sound pleased when an English team progresses in a European match, really don't see the issue and I don't believe for one second you would be moaning like you are if it was Summerbee et al going mental if City took part in a game as highly entertaining as this and cheering when they score/went through.

I agree, it's unprofessional.

Commentators should try to be as impartial as possible.

Have to say I hate Napoli & their fans after my trip there to watch our game.

I hope they have an awful trip to London.

What happened there mate ?

Some of them came after us when we were walking back to the hotel & a young lad got stabbed in his side. Bunch of cowardly knife merchants.

Sad thing is that the TV pundits don't seem to get behind City

errm why are they getting in on the belgian coach crash thing?have i missed something here?

Maybe because they have players linked with the country like we do with Kompany, they have Lukaku.

Wouldnt bet on Chelsea. Still cant believe they are trough. Puts our Napoli fiasco in the group into perspective.
Ageing squad, player power, new manager, very bad away result, poor league performance and they are go to next round against a Napoli whom we couldnt beat in two matches with a stronger, younger squad.
Di Matteo knew what he has to do and how to do it. Hope he wont know it next week or we are sure second this year.
