This article looks too well written to be from Goal.com, and don't they normally just pass on stories from elsewhere? Is there an original source for this story?

I'm pretty sure that the new Goal.com chief editor is an old BBC writer, one of the old bloggers that got sacked off when they did their cuts.

The prospect of having gentlemen running our club who are much better connected in the corridors of power in football, and knowing how to manipulate those corridors excites me quite a bit. It's one of the things we've been majorly lacking and I'm sad to say that it's even necessary.
