Chris Wilder criticises perceived bias from officials

Always have to smile when posters say here or on the VAR thread that all fans think there is injustice towards their club. Of course they do. It's what being a fan is all about. If you aren't doing that, you aren't doing it right. But it doesn't make it right.

The above post gets it right though, imho. If you asked a sample of all fans which clubs get the most favourable treatment, I would be very surprised if it didn't go something like United at home, Liverpool at home, Liverpool away, United away and then the rest.

Under the piss can the Rags would smirk & sing “they do what they want” & GPC would tell you it evens itself up over the season, as if he’d be satisfied with even treatment.

However, ask the Dippers & they are convinced they are the biggest victims…… just don’t sing it to them.

The difference being that fans of every other club are all in agreement that it's biased in favour of Liverpool

Even fans of other London clubs were siding with Chelsea over the penalties they didn't get.

Of course fans of all teams feel hard done by at times, and things do against every team at some point..

But when fans of pretty much every club are all voicing the same view that Liverpool are getting helped out by officials, there's probably something to it.
That's not my experience when visiting other clubs forums. Primarily and first and foremost they claim the bias is against their club (or against "smaller" clubs collectively if they fall into that description).
I certainly see a lot of posts from United/Arsenal fans claiming it's biased in favour of us.
Similarly our own fans in here constantly claim bias in favour of United, Arsenal and Liverpool in equal measure.

the thing which is laughable is when you put this to rags and dippers the response is always the same, you're only jealous because of our success, they are so used to an unfair playing field they genuinely believe that they deserve the leg ups the refs give them to the point when the refs actually ref fairly and give correct decisions they think they are being cheated, take the wolves game this week, now it has been entirely ignored because they won but onana cleaned a player out again and once again it wasnt given, he made exactly the same challenge which webb himself said should have been a penalty and still nothing, thats just one example of hundreds and it is just roundly ignored like a big ongoing joke.

it has been said multiple times by multiple managers that you dont get those decisions at klanfield and instead of pgmol addressing the bias it is laughed at and ignored. You only have to look at the chelsea match to see, the penalty that liverpool was given was for far less than the two chelsea were not given, was anything said, was anything done, was anyone made to explain, nah its just ignored cos it suits pgmol to not insult the dippers and the cycle continues, while its not corruption per se it is inherent bias and pgmol should have to account for that.

But the same is claimed of other clubs, look no further than 3 posts on this page claiming it's bias in favour of United and Liverpool equally!

And once again, it's perfectly normal fan behaviour to shout bias in favour of direct rivals. Which is why people on here are asking what would happen when you ask fans of clubs outside the "top" six. My guess is they will say biased in favour of the top six and, if pushed, will put United and Liverpool at the top of the list.

Edit: And I would just add that no-one cares what fans think about bias, most fans are idiots anyway. But when managers start saying it, then the league starts to have a(nother) problem.

Since we started dominating we are top of the list, strangely the more we dominate the bigger the gap between us and second because we can't win as much as we do without help is what they claim.

I'm lost for words really, sounds like a bitter pissed of fan.
"I was told about this coming into the division, that 'get ready, all the slight decisions, all the easy decisions, will go against you." Told by who?

Why shouldn't he. It's worked for Klopp and it worked for 20 years+ for the piss can. You criticise them in the right way and you can guarantee some 50/50s start going your way.

Good on him.

Pure conjecture, unless you have something to back it up? At least I had the good grace to say I was guessing .....
