City’s best performances between 1990 and 2008 (pre takeover)?

92 / 93 season.
2 down at half time to Coventry fucking City.....
Won 3-2..... happy day that was!

Great away day that. Pretty sure it hammered it down all match and being on an open terrace was soaked wet through at the end. Mick Quinn scored 2 for them and Keith Curle got the winner with a penalty.

Spuds at home October 1994, Horton's finest hour!

Was sat in J block, Kippax being rebuilt. A blue was having a right go at Tottenham’s Romanian forward who was having a great game and had just hit the bar, ‘Ceausescu, you’re shit!’.

Happy days!

The season under Keegan in Division 1 was by far the best football I'd seen us play up to that point. A few great performances that season, Ipswich away in the FA Cup sticks out for some reason. Berkovic's volley is probably the best goal we've scored live on the BBC. I think that squad playing like that would have done well in the PL, by the time we were promoted Ali B was a year older and the Keegan magic had started to fizzle out sadly.

Probably one of the best performances by an opposition player. All the hype was about Klinsmann but Dumitrescu was fantastic that day..

Always loved the away win at Blackburn in 1995. They were league leaders and would go on and win the title but we went there are played them off the park. It was the kind of result and away performance that we just never seemed to pull off during this period. Flitcroft had 2 goals disallowed (one incorrectly) and Rosler hit the bar after chipping Flowers as well.

was this the Easter Monday game, after we beat the red scoucers at Maine Road on Good Friday?

I'm sure both us and Ipswich had gone up together and they did quite well, unfortunately we got relegated and that was the following season, Ipswich fans got really gobby about it and taking the piss, so it was a great game to shove one up their arses, on their own patch.
They had confirmed our relegation the previous season and their fans were waving this, so that FA Cup game and performance felt so so sweet, a brilliant awayday/overnighter. Delighted to see them continue to struggle as well

They had a weird chip on their shoulder about us from the season before that, when we pipped them to automatic promotion. On Blue View, which was then City's leading online message board, we had loads of Ipswich visitors banging on about how they played better football than us and so deserved promotion at our expense.

I think that quite a few Blues who were around at the time haven't forgotten the pleasure they took in our demise a year later. The 4-1 Cup win down there under Keegan was certainly poetic justice, as was the fact that we traded places with them a few months later and have never seen them again. Go fuck yourselves, you sad, six-fingered, sister-shagging yokel cunts!

Will always be my favourite, derby victories aside

I remember this game well.

But for bad reasons.

Went down on the train last minute, was my sisters 18th. Got off at Euston and found out my grandad had sadly died moments before.

Was a great game, lost my money so had to jib it back home. One lad i got to know in later years was badly glasses that day in a clash in a pub with west ham fans
