City’s wasted talent

ian Scott used to coach my team at platt lane / he was ridiculously talented. Knee problems finished him at the top level.

Ian Scott had great vision and his passing was a joy to behold - perfect weight and accuracy. Shame he didn't get longer at City and thst his career finished early. Spoke to him recently. Really nice bloke. He coaches out in the US.

Valeri Bojinov looked a world beater for 15 minutes.

Clive Wilson and Shaun Wright Philips , both looked class acts but although both had very good careers, I thought they could have achieved even more.

Paul Simpson was another, looked a great prospect but then faded quickly.

Guidetti had a great season on loan at Feyenoord, thought he would be part of the squad going forward but he then had injury issues before going on multiple loans. Promised a lot early on but never really kicked on, or maybe Dutch league suited him.

Waggy was a top player. Sold over Christmas to keep protests to a minimum. Think we needed the money. My Wolves mate says he was brilliant for them.

I was chatting to a mate who is a Liverpool fan about how funny Balotelli and Pep would have been in training, as in how little shit Pep would have taken from him, and it had passed me by that Balotelli was at Liverpool when Klopp came in, which presumably caused some similarly hilarious interactions.

That Euros semi-final in 2012 where he demolished Germany it looked like the whole world was at his feet, and you wouldn't say he's had a bad career but it looked at that point like he was going to come back to us and do anything and before you knew it he was getting into physical altercations with Mancini.
Never understood why Liverpool bought him. Asking for trouble.
