This was another great day from that era.
At least you weren't in Raul's. I'd PVR'd the week before and left Germany on the friday. Stopped off for the 4-3 win at Swindon and then this one the week after. Considering i'd only done two games in the previous 14 months, this was a great week.I was in Belize ... I remember listening to the game on the World Service and running around the accommodation blocks relaying the score to others... There were quite a few blues there!! Good Times!!
When we scored our third, my brother said it was going to be dead boringRemember confidently telling my mate at half time that we wouldn’t score another goal!
Keep the faith brotherI purposely missed the game, it was a low point for me, for the first time I had questioned my support of City, my loyalty had been tested, probably the first home game I had missed in 15 to 20 years, but I had had enough. Thank god we won, I was at home and it was like being struck by lightning, I had purposely missed a match which we had won 10-1, that night I went out and sang about a game I hadn't been or seen, it never happened again, to think I could have missed everything that has happed since, that result rescued me, so I will always remember this game for kicking me where I needed Kicking.
