City charged by the FA following the Villa match (22nd May 2022)

Priti Patel says football banning orders have been strengthened as the 2022/23 season gets underway. The home secretary said that pitch invaders and Class A drug users “will feel the full force of the law”.

Patel defaulting to banning.
She looks to ban everything as a first response, often with removal of passport and driving licence.
Elle Fascista.
What's next? Spitting? Sneezing? Farting?
PS Rwanda is a safe place in other Patel news
She’s a fucking half wit.

Look.

Unless you put GMP's tactical Aid Group dressed in riot gear with helmets on, shields raised, and batons at the ready all the way around the pitch, you aren't going to stop 1000's of fans invading the pitch at the end of the season if their team has won the title or have been promoted.

Most Stewards will either stand aside, or melt away, bar the odd super hero steward who will tackle a lone supporter. Stewards aren't interested in stopping fans invading the pitch.

Bar the clampdown and fines, this is nothing more than another public PR excerise by the Government, the FA, the Police, and the CPS. They all know they will never stamp out pitch invasions which have been going on as long as there has been proper football matches in this country.

Electric fences around the ground, that will stop it......

Invading the pitch will happen but when twats do what happened back in May, I can see City being hammered financially if it happens again, and City losing points as a result.
Breaking the nets and so called "playful banter" with the Villa keeper (it was mild casual violence at best) are unacceptable.
Just what does it take to stop people being twats instead of simply celebrating a great day?
