City Charging West Brom fans £56

I have little sympathy for what we charge fans of other clubs as when we travel away we are charged Category A prices at every ground. My season ticket works out as around £30 a game. If I want to watch us play at Norwich I have to pay £50 and around £55 at Fulham. Two teams who play turgid football in grounds that, although they have character, have poor facilities.

I wish we could charge fans of other clubs what they charge us to watch football at the grounds of the team they support.

Have you ever thought Norwich or Fulham fans are in no way responsible for ticket prices in the same way City fans are not responsible for the price of tickets for West Brom?

Regardless of team were all being shafted.

Of course, we are being shafted. I wouldn't deny it. I live in London but it is often cheaper for me to watch a home game than attend one in the capital. However, the point I was making is that I have no sympathy for the fans of other teams when the club they support rip off Blues for the fact that we support a good team. I don't hear those fans bemoaning the fact that we pay such high prices every other week. Why should we be disappointed for them?

Needs regulation across the League

Not enjoying seeing tiny away allocations at City. None of the City fans who sit in their place sing.

Aye it would be good but it is unlikely, I would think. Self regulation? Unlikely too, I would guess. The frustrating thing is that income from away supporters is small in relation to the amount of revenue each club brings in. It's not as if clubs are going to take huge hit by capping away ticket prices. More away fans can often create a better atmosphere, and a better atmosphere improves our experience of the games.

Oh come on! Of course you don't hear them. Where would you expect to?

These price levels are just another frontier. Look around you at the ground. How many 25-35 year olds are there going compared to the swales era? We have already priced out a generation of fans and we're now moving into a new phase and are going to see many of our generation priced out.

We shouldn't blame ffp either. The owners weren't looking to subsidise the club and if we aim to compete with arsenal, chelsea then there aren't many ways of earning enough money that doesn't include maximising all revenue streams.

FFPR aside, I think our club is heading in the wrong direction.

I always remember what Khladoon said in that video all those years ago about the club, it's values, and the fans.

His words are starting to sound a little hollow in my opinion.
Dead right jrb, he's let us down being style with that monstrosity to the south east of the stadium

I think some of us maybe need to get a grip.
But it's a shame we're charging them top whack, they're one of the (possibly the) best bunch of fans we get at ours.

Nowhere near the best

.

Om Facebook as I lived in Walsall for a while and know plenty of Baggies.

Your other point regarding the age profile of fans, I agree. However, my main concerns are the prices Blues pay. We don't know what our club will do regarding the pricing structure following the expansion but I have faith in them to do the right thing.

Perish the thought, we maybe out of the title race by then.

Not only will we have empty seats in the away end, but also in the home end.

If City think fans are going to pay £50+ odd quid for a meaningless match that is on a Monday night and on TV, they're badly mistaken.

As others have stated, some bod at City has crunched the numbers, then got the nod from those at the very top.

Very easy to see why they are doing it.WB fans refuse to come at that price (rightly so IMO) therefore more tickets for City fans (I`m using that word carefully,as I`d be more inclined to use the word Plastics/Tourists) who unfortunately will be prepared to pay that amount if we are in with a shout of winning the league.
If thats the case its just morally wrong.

Stop talking crap. I would like to come to this game and bring my nephew who is the future of our support. Whether you are a superfan such as yourself or a plastic who has been going since he was 7 years old such as me, the pricing is prohibitive.

Well said fella. There really are some morons on here.

Do you want to apologise also.

If you do the maths on the difference between this price, and a sensible price, say £35, and multiply it by 19 games, it wouldn't pay for a single transfer fee, and less than a years salary for just one of most of our players.

Therefore charging this price for this game alone has little or nothing to do with FFPR.
