City fans asking for Barca fans to be kicked out

City's own Ts&Cs:
2.1. Tickets in the Home Section are available for purchase by Home Fans only. Tickets in the Away Section are available for purchase by Away Fans only. Tickets are sold subject to the sales criteria applicable to each Match which shall be published on the Website in advance of each Match. By applying to purchase one or a number of Tickets and / or using Entry Materials to gain entry to the Ground for a Match, you hereby warrant and represent that you are:
a. a Home Fan if the seat purchased under your Ticket is located in the Home Section; or
b. an Away Fan if the seat purchased under your Ticket is located in the Away Section.

Yes and I wonder why we have this rule. Is it because a small percentage of people are so brain dead that they cannot share an area with away fans? I was close by and I can tell you that everybody who gave an opinion, apart from the two instigators who wanted them moved, were in favour of the Barcelona fans staying put. It is pretty embarrassing if as the steward said they had to be moved for their own safety. I suspect the two 'fans' normally sit elsewhere and hopefully will remove themselves back to where they came.

No mention for neutral fans ?

Nothing wrong with away fans in the home end
Thank god the Blackburn fans in 2000 didnt have the same attitude as the 2 blues who grassed the barca fans to the stewards

Exactly.

There is a way to behave in the home sections although the two times I have been in the home end at Blackburn, I celebrated. The 4-1 when everyone did and there were more city in the Main Stand than Blackburn and in the 3-2 win with Anelka last minute goal. Couldn't help it. Got a bit of verbals on that one but nothing too bad.

We had plenty of Barca fans near us and they were happy they scored but didn't overdo it. Doesn't bother me.

I'll be in their corporate so can we close this thread jic they get an idea about kicking us out.

and no, I'm not posh, just got lucky.

more like 123/4 area
I saw it, and the guys that wanted them kicked out, I've never seen before, but they were talking to some regulars on the concourse. Talking to a steward at half time, he said we try and tell them to stay sat down, but sometimes there are just too many

yes these were the fans in front of me aisle 123/125 was about 4 or 5 barca fans (spanish) who made no hassle and jumped up when they scored the first goal maybe they should or shouldn't didn't bother me, they were polite and harmless caused no trouble and then some prick of a fair weather big game tourist city fan who I've nva seen before in my years of sitting there jumped up giving them shit and was aggressive and asking for them to be removed! I've nva wanted to punch a fellow "FAN" as much in my life! me and my nephew stuck up for the barca fans and told the stewards he should have been removed! and he started on us at half time. i was the pork pie hat wearing fella.
Seen you on the concourse, didn't the old bill step in before the second half started?

The bigger, but very much related, issues are:

a) why do so many blues stay away and why are the club happy with this? (Pricing and being surrounded by away fans imo)

b) why do away fans routinely get chucked out in Premier League games but the club tells their stewards to do the opposite to away fans in European games against certain clubs

and

c) why is the club deliberately putting home end tickets in the hands of away fans or 'guests' that they know are going to be in with the home fans supporting the away team.

The crux of the matter is, if the club wanted it, these tickets could have been in the hands of blues who either turn up most weeks or have been priced out for good but they would rather numpties who are there for the other team take them

No, the crux of the matter is that the club are running a BUSINESS not a charity.

The League Cup Final was a shocker........grown men asking for a family of Sunderland fans to be thrown out when they jumped up at their goal.We have always had a good relationship with Sunderland.

I felt ashamed to be a Blue, couldnt do much more than voice my opinion to the stewards as was with my young lad and didnt want him in the middle of an argument.

Fcuking wankers.

Perhaps you had better tell them that every couple of hundred grand counts so much then. Because the transfer policy seems to suggest that they are completely unaware of this - routinely sanctioning £20m on second rate players who then need to be moved on.

You are numerically illiterate if you think the price of Champions League tickets has any sort of significant impact on City's revenue. But keep spouting nonsense cliches.................
